Edit: Actually the right strip isn't even missing a diode so im not sure whats going on there, where every second one lights up only slightly..

They are wired in series with drivers slightly dimmed.

Any ideas?

Did you check that the screw hole you used was actually a screw hole and not shorting the alu circuit?

Read 5he last few pages of this thread, I just built a light for my 4x4 tent.
First things first take a measuring tape and see if your tent is 48 inches, some are slightly smaller..

Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll sprinkle in a few 3500k for good measure :).

And to save me from reading through this entire forum, would you be able to recommend a driver that will power 10 2' strips?

Preferably a unit sold by digikey that I can add to my order there ;)

Sorry man I'm not comfortable really doing that as I would hate to recommend a less than optimal choice.

Better off reading through this thread or asking someone more experienced than myself.

Read up on the meanwell drivers, it's not hard to find an appropriate driver, but I don't know enough yet to say for certain which would be best.

They are tested at 700ma. They can max out at 1.4amps. Many drive them up to 1amp. I built mine with a constant current driver of 1.05 amps max. So you have to decide how hard you want to drive your strips max, then you can pick a driver. :mrgreen:

The efficiency will go down a bit at 1.05 amps. But just knowing I can turn it up and shower those girls with all those photons. That's priceless!

So I know you weren't asking me, but if you did want to run max of 1 amp. That would be 22.7 watts a strip for 227 watts for 10. The HLG‑240H‑C1050 would do that. That is not the only solution, but one that would work.

Why run them so hard? At this price I would prefer getting more strips, than running a few so hard... Advantage lost of led strips, imo

I am just waiting for the second generation, than I will build 100W panel with 12x 2‘‘ strips. I LOVE this uniformity!

Take a picture of both strips and get in touch with digikey to send new ones! 2 of 12 defective is a no-go, they should be ashamed and replace them quickly.

I got 2 out of my 3 orderes replaced completly with no arguing, 30-40% broken strips, even with the replacement, but I had enough overall. After that I tried arrow, but it was way more expensive. So I will go with digikey again, knowing the replacement will be send via express, 2 days to europe after complaining (live chat). Not a bad service, but the package was like they would send me some baby toys...

They're each 6 1120mm 3000k Eb strips driven by a meanwell 320 1050 A for a combined total of 600w.

Will be hanging them tonight, and I'll post some pics once hung as well.

Just like i did mine but yours look way neater lol. Wish I could have afforded to so it like that. You won't be disappointed i got some awesome smoke off my 2.

Im upgrading to 4 soon hoping it will cover my 8 Rdwc buckets well enough.

Sorry to hear, I had the same problem on one of my strips just put it down to a dodgy strip, guess it can happen in transit etc, i just replaced it.
