Ok...first off Hesi's directions are for an AGGRESSIVE feeding routine.. In many years of use I have found that for the most part their's does work and well, but you must know that they are using 3 gallon or larger pots. indica's and some hyb. work very well with the aggressive feeding but I feel you should have a good knowledge of what your doing to run that.

Next, power zyme is NOT snake oil! and should be used. It contains the very useful MICRO NUTES!!! that are NOT in the other Hesi nutes.... In fact Hesi zyme has now been voted and tested out as the BEST zyme on the market!

Use CALiMAGic for RO suppliment before you add nutes! 3ml per gal is what I run.

A quick note on advanced nutes. RIP OFF!!!!!! they have 3 diff. suppliments that are the exact same thing at 3 diff. RISING prices!!!
and BUD CANDY is one of them. I use Botanicare SWEET UNFLAVORED. What this MAG&SULFER suppliment does is increase the tricome and terpentene levels in your finished plant. IT WORKS!

I do my Hesi runs like this. VEG
use the listed concentrations of TNT, POWER ZYME and SUPERVIT (the vit contains needed amino's that help your plant with growth regulation and overall health levels....NOT SNAKE OIL....Look at House and Garden,,,,they use a stand alone amino and it works! Hesi just contains extra B vits along with the aminos)
ONLY USED THE ROOT COMPLEX 1 to 2 times a week!!!!! ( I use it once every 4 days)
FEED EVERY OTHER DAY! unless you are running the aggressive listed use.

I use MAD FARMER silica at a rate of 2.5ml per feeding to up the cellular strength of my plant. It also allows the plant to tolerate higher temps that are associated with the use of CO2 in flower.

FLOWER
at change over I drop all use of ROOT COMPLEX.
Run the stated concentrations of BLOOM COMPLEX, SUPER VIT and ZYME -
and drop the CALiMAGic and start SWEET UNPLAVORED at 5 ml per gal for 1 weeks.

At week 2 up the SWEET to 10ml

AT week 3 up the SWEET to 15 ml

At week 4 begin the use of PHOSHORURS PLUS at stated Hesi levels and drop the silica use to 0.

At week 5 up the SWEET to 20ml and begin adding 1 tsp of unsulfered molasses continue this till wash and you will be beyond happy with your crop!!!!

As far as hydro go's I feel that Hesi is far and away the best nutes out there for that application! SIMPLE , CLEAN RUNNING and just use as directed ,,,,, You may want to lower concentrations for pure sativa's by 25% at first try......Better yet you should run sativa's organic in dirt , using a tea!

I HIGHLY suggest using MAD FARMER up and down as it contains a better more stable mix of chems and has NO DYE in it. (be careful as the down can be twice as strong as all the rest of the downs on the market)

Grow on and enjoy!
Doc who, I'm just starting this hesi treatment. Should I grossly drop the dosage amount from what they suggesting in the schedule? Because after one feeding of the recommended dose all of my little ladies are curling up an scaring me a bit

Whats the media?
How old are the plants?
What are your concentrations?

How long sense the feeding?
what size pots if soil?
What is the soil?
How long have they been in this soil?

I figured out that you can drop the roots and super vit for Kelp extract....most likely not your problem though.

I always used their feed chart and had no real problems..I did use less roots as you read above....This was some time ago when I was still using some synthetics in runs...I've gone back to all organic and dropped all synthetic and all hydro too....BUT.....

If you answer my questions, I can get you through it no problem!
I've used Hesi for a while and many others I tested too.....
The 2 best out there are Hesi and Canna....as far as liquid synthetic nutes go.

I'll be around

I'm kinda jumpin in on a buddy's current grow and everyone was kinda mag deprived when I got there, so for the past week I've been nursing them back to health and changing his water supply to an ro supply. As far as media the soil they're hanging out in rite now is God knows what..... I'm getting ready to transplant everyone into a perlite, spahnam moss, worm casting, bat guano, Epsom salt, blood meal and lime mixture tomorrow. My reasoning for this is just so I know where everyone stands with the soil. And also because some of the little guys are still in 6in pots an I feel they may be getting a little root bound. I'm kinda leaning towards nut burn from what the leaves on the little guys (6-8 in tall) are telling me. They are curling and turning upwards a little. The other plants are about 18 in in height and aren't showing as much as the same symptoms. Now they have only had one feeding thus far which was yesterday. I've decided to go back to my regular feeding schedule of the basic feed water feed water plan at 200ml per. Anything that you could suggest would be appreciated

I decided to try hesi bloom this grow but they look pretty hungry,i feed them every other watering becuse thats what i did with previus nutes.
Is the feeding chart on the bottle meant to be used every watering or every other like ive done before?

Every watering. Hesi has a video out and shows how they water/feed every day.

I have been doing the metered amount of water/feed everyday for many, many years.....One big reason I went Hesi.....They do it my way.
Be sure to use the P/K booster as directed too....

I'll give you some advise and save you some money on the line too.

Drop the "ROOTS" and the "Super Vit".

Simply use Kelp extract at 5ml per gallon instead. Delivers the same shit - better. For far less then they charge for the other two!

There is no Botanicare Sweet on our market :(, what do you suggest to replace it from Canna, R.A.N. , RasTea, GHE, Plagron, GrowTechnology, Biobizz, Bio Nova?

Take 8 TBL of Epsom Salts.
1.5 tsp of Dark Brown sugar
Mix to dissolve in 1 gallon of RO water. (you might boil it in 4 cups of water and add 12 more to cool it and pour into an Opaque jug).

That is home made Sweet Raw and it'll cost you less then a US dollar to make a gallon.

BTW do you use something like ANs Sensizym or Canna's Rhizotonic in your feeding or does it even needed?
Nope. In any run with synthetic's. I don't use anything but The KIND base and bloom and my 2 homemade supplements. They do get a shot of basic bio tea (not a nute tea) at one month into bloom.
There are enough carbs in my feed to keep the bio's alive enough...

Hi Doc,
should u have time to review the listing ingr. below.

Veg Brew

1 cup Earth Worm Castings (1-0-0)

1/3 cup Mexican Bat Guano (Nitrogen rich guano) (8-1-1)

1/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano (all around rich guano **BE CAREFUL**) (12-11-2)

1/2 cup Alfalfa meal (2.5-0.5-2.5)

5 TBS Black Strap Molasses

5 TBS Liquid Kelp Extract (0-0-1)

Is it too much Nitrogen on this veg brew for 5 gallons soil pot? And the girls are 2 feet tall.

Bloom Brew

1 cup Earth Worm Castings (1-0-0)

1/3 cup Jamaican or Indonesian Bat Guano (Phosphorus rich guano) (0-10-0)

1/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano (all around rich guano **BE CAREFUL**) (12-11-2)

1/2 cup Alfalfa meal (2.5-0.5-2.5)

5 TBS Black Strap Molasses

5 TBS Liquid Kelp Extract (0-0-1)

I think going into flower this Flower brew should ok for 4 foot tall girls, right?

If your following the charting, you should be golden..
How big are the plants?
Age?

Media is?

Generally I use a 30 day soil....In solo's it last a few weeks and you start to feed then, and as you up pot it may take a cpl weeks before you need to feed....

If I have the HESI.....I wouldn't run any of that tea! Period!

Those teas will give the plant a serious case of P tox - FAST! Skip them and follow the Hesi Charting...
