Colorado clones on craigslist

There's a lot people selling clones on Craigslist, or asking for a donation. How does this work? Seems sketchy as hell, or are these stings? You wouldn't think cops would be trying to bust people for clones. Idk, clue me in. What am I missing?

See it all the time here in Oregon... bud also... avg here is about $25 for clones. Donation is for time spent so forth. "Technically " not buying.

That's kind of what I was thinking.... Maybe I'm paranoid, but it would be super dumb to get in trouble over clones. I'm probably putting too much thought in to it.

Yeah the whole thing seems sketchy.... What a bitch that would be to put that much time in to find out its not the strain you thought it was..... You can quarantine the clones if you're worried about bugs..... Getting robbed while trying to buy clones sounds like a bad day.... Idk

what part of CO are you in? i'm near co springs and they don't do clones at rec dispos.
there used to be a few websites of just clones, not sure if they are still around though.

i just like my fem seeds now. the exact strains i want when i want to start them. and i don't have to drive anywhere. lol

I'm up in the mountains by Eagle. There used to be a place in Frisco that sold clones, but not anymore. Have you heard anything about the denver clone store? It's one of the only places I've found.

i've read reviews about them and lacontes (sp?) clone bar. some reviewers say they are great but the next says they had mites. not sure who to believe? last i checked they were really expensive at one of those places, don't remember which though.

You got me curious so I just checked my local cl ads here in MA. Yup, they are selling clones right and left. I'll pass on bs genetics for $100 a bug infested pop though. It's not legal for rec, don't know about caregiver growers though.

Some of the pics they posted were definitely sickly grows though. Either they don't know any better or that lhse pics were the best they could do. Sheesh, at least steal pics of healthy grows.

It's kind of fuct. You would think with growing getting as popular as it is, someone would want to capitalize on selling people some good genetics. Maybe there isn't enough money in it. Someone gets a clone and makes a mother like I want to, they won't be back until they're tired of the strain, or the mother isn't producing good clones anymore. Which could be a couple years.

There are a few breeders who sell clones at the festivals. But they probably look at it like seeds, you can grow moms from seeds and clone them as well.

People like starting from healthy clones if they have a short plant count. No hassles having to sex and cull, don't have to maintain multiple moms, and they start pretty quickly. It lets you jump from strain to strain every grow without having to grow out a mom first.

It just isn't quite legal most places. If you can't sell cannabis, you can't sell a clone (or seeds). Your state may be legal to grow, but selling is a very different set of rules. In my state, there is no distinction between a mature plant and a seedling, no difference between flower and seeds. Crazy.

And taking a donation won't work. Neither will bartering. That is considered payment in kind.

Someday the laws will catch up with how this plant is grown and used. But I'm not holding my breath....

That's awesome of you. I'm still about two months out from having space for a couple mother's. I'm doing my homework now so I'm ready when the time comes. I will def pm you somewhere in that time frame. Thanx.

My first plant was purchased off craigslist in the Walmart parking lot from a filthy dude wearing overalls and no shirt. Paid $10 each and they turned out to be awesome plants! Super sketchy, haven't done it again. I'd rather trade clones with y'all in the future. Pretty sure it's legal in Colorado to give away buds and clones as long as their is nothing of value given in return.

I'm going to figure it out. If I find a good clone source in Co I'll post it here. Thanks for the input buddy.
The clone bar and the clone store charge about $100 for 6 plants, or $20 each. Went to the clone store recently and bought some bud that matched a clone strain they were selling, sort of a try before you buy type of scenario. Forgot the name of the strain but it was just OK in my opinion, not worth growing out.

Also found this joint, no info or experience http://www.discountclone.club
