I've been thinking about pre-treating with sodium bicarbonate what do y'all think?
I believe its potassium bicarbonate you want, like GreenCure. I'm not sure why it matters, but I've heard there is a difference. I try not to spray anything after flowering starts, but last season I did spray Green Cure a couple of times during the last weeks -- so I washed all of those buds in an H2O/H2O2 solution. Lots of bugs and bug dirt came off too, so it was an extra step but not a bad thing.

Good start. I prefer to go with a transparent material, since it might be raining off and on for the rest of the season, that way at least some decent light is getting through. Also, the dip in your tarp will fill up with water, getting heavier... @joken beat me to it.
You can't see it but it's draped downward on the other side with all the ends ties downward towards railing with green ties. I poured a hole gallon on it last night to test it. All runs off instantly! Tried using clear plastic bags but I'm not trying to have them rip then 3xpose the girls. Weather suppose to clear up Saturday. Only have 3 week left's on the big one.

Your tarp is going to collect a ton of water if you don't put a post in the center. Ken in Corvallis
On top of that I have all the edges of the tarps tightened in place using green twistys to the railing. That way even if a small puddle started somewhere there would be zero slack in the tarp to dip down. Trust me I got super mcguyver into this lol

View attachment 4012211 Supposed to be Cinex, don't believe it is. Strange leaves.
Whatever it is, it looks interesting. I grew Cinex once, the feedback I got was that it was a really nice high. I've grown enough strains that I don't remember what that one looked like. That said, I don't think I've ever grown a plant that looks like the one you've got there. Except maybe a Green Crack I grew once, it had orange hairs like that.

I use alcohol/water mix for killing insects if there are just a few. I was thinking that the alcohol might stop PM too. Has anyone tried it. It certainly doesn't harm the plants.

THC is soluble in alcohol, I wouldn't use it myself. A spray of 3% hydrogen peroxide kills the hell out of PM.
I think you are correct now that I think about it, but most of the shit is on leaves. I put a hunk of shatter in a Everclear tincture and if it dissolved it took more than the day I had it. Gave it to a friend.

DAMN IT!!!!!

Just had to cut 2 small buds off one of my plants! Found rot on them. They were on opposite sides of the plant too, not on the same cola!

They are covered to with lots of air movement! Shyte!!!

I found a few worms yesterday. I'm gonna spend a few hours tomorrow morning opening up the buds and looking for more. I'm bummed about it but I tried to prevent it this year. So far they've have very little impact.

I went out this morning to check the girls, found the one in the shelter to be leaning way over. It was pretty windy last night, so I thought that must have pushed it over... nope. Some rippers pulled it over so that they could literally rip off three main branches.

The first year I had no worms, once they found us they've been back every year. I suspect rippers are the same way. I'm not going to shoot them, I'm not going to make my backyard into a high security zone, I'm just going to call it a day. Stick a fork in it, I'm done growing outdoors.

It's funny, naively I thought that maybe because I live 100 yards from a police station, I would be less likely to be robbed. No sir.
