?? I'm sorry, you're telling me to keep a grow op quiet? OK thanks.

I'm asking about guns and weed.

Good Q

I'm just imagining growing and having one piddly thing wrong, and getting my house seized.

Intuitively, I wouldn't think there would be the police stink if they showed up and no grow op - only 2 zips and a licensed pistol
growing marijuana is a federal offense. possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony is another charge. its always been this way, before cards and medical marijuana. nothings changed except now legal marijuana users took notice.
check this out, if the feds are there in the first place, and you are growing weed, those guns dont make any difference, they can seize your house still. the guns sweeten the deal is all. yep, all around us, loose lips sink ships.
think of all the things that could possibly bring police to your home in the first place. Now, correct them.
smell? traffic? lights? neighbor issues? girlfriend issues? I've seen all of these get people raided.

So... Lots of folks say if you have a plant, you better not also have a firearm.

Does the same liability exist if you have a card that says OK to grow, but you get raided and have no grow running, and under 2 zips. And a gun.
This is what I'm asking about

This is what I'm asking about

the short answer is NO. It is not illegal to possess a marijuana card that says you can grow.
Nor does it prohibit you from owning/possessing a gun.
they wont sell you a gun
if you show them your card.
While possessing and using marijuana when using or buying a firearm is illegal, I assume
your raid isnt happening during target practice while snorting hash, but if it was, you'd be busted, just like booze and
shooting. hope that helps

I hear they changed the ccw laws. Anyone hear anything about it? I heard you don't need a ccw permit anymore.

LANSING, Mich. — Gun owners might soon be able to carry a concealed pistol without having to get a government-issued permit to do so under new legislation proposed this month.

The 'Constitutional carry' legislation introduced by Michigan House Republicans would allow "law-abiding" citizens 21 years or older to carry a concealed firearm without a permit

Long story short I got pulled over with 2.5oz in bed of the truck and 2 high powered rifles in the cab on my way to deer camp he had everything laid out on tonneau cover. Searched the cab...nothing..repeatedly asked me how much I smoked...i said none repeatedly...gave me a sobriety test by pointing the flashlight directly at my eyes while telling me to follow his finger...I passed.. and the reason he pulled me over was because my 1 7/8" tow ball was obstructing my liscense plate lmfao..stock bumper..stock truck. He gave me all my shit back and said have a good one..no ticket..not sure about cpl.

If 2 ppl live in a home together can one posses a medcard and the other a cpl?

of course, both can possess cpl's too. there is no law prohibiting a person from possessing both cards at the same time.
dont commit felonies while possessing a fierearm, always been that way so, yeah, stay legal.

keep in mind shooting someone for stealing your weed, running through your yard, during marijuana deliveries, in the space weed grows, etc wont fly in court. growing, possessing, delivering, processing using marijuana remains illegal and defending your property is too. The health dept gives us an explanation to use for police and judges if they're meddling in our personal health affairs and find medical marijuana.
a very small percentage of card holders are ever arrested.
staying within mmmp rules and conducting themselves responsibly would have saved even those few from arrests.
If you believe you need a gun close by because you grow, sell, use, or carry medical marijuana ......it's probably not the right medicine for you.
Honolulu just sent letters to marijuana card holders giving them days to forfeit their guns. the police have access to their health department registry strangely. hold on tight, its a brave new world.
I suspect a whole lot of non carded foxy armed wives to hit the scene soon with their newly acquired blasters.

Although a vast majority of the liberal activist 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decisions (aka lawfare) are justly overturned, most of their bullshit such as this gun ban of marijuana cardholders never makes it to the Supreme Court. What will they come up with to chase down recreational marijuana users and their guns? Is alcohol next

I love this quote by Thomas Sowell 2003 "One of these days the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals may declare the Constitution unconstitutional." Funny, but not really ...

All the lies of Reefer Madness propaganda are still alive and well somehow in our court of law :-(

owing a gun and having a marijuana card is only a part of this, a small battle.
whats next, cant drive with a card? dont laugh !
cant be a parent with a card? cant have a baby with a card? cant work with a card? cant get insurance with a card? pay higher interests rates with a card? cant live here with a card? no more health privacy now that you have a card? no pain meds if you have a card? no organ transplant if you have a card? ????

if marijuana was found to have medicinal value by the federal government, and rescheduled/descheduled none of this would apply any differently than alcohol or narcotics. it really has little to do with not being able to buy a gun while possessing a card, a symptom of more to come
