Time to have some fun..

So this is my first indoor grow and first post to this forum. I recently got out of the military after ten years and let's just say a lot has changed in the cannabis industry since I was growing on my dad's shop roof lol. I am ready for any advice that is thrown my way. I will keep this updated at least 3 times per week.

My equipment:
4x4 Apollo tent
600W Vipaspectra Reflective series
Ipower 6" exhaust fan with carbon filter
5 gallon pots (wish I would have purchased smart pots)
Circular fan

I'm using FFOF and perolite. Hopefully it's not too hot for the seedlings.

Here's to a lifelong hobby that is sure to piss my wife off....

1st n foremost, thank you for putting your life on the line for the freedoms we are allowed to enjoy as human beings. 2nd, Welcome to RIU! It sounds like you got your equipment going n there's only a couple of things left to decide.... What type of beans ya plan on growing? Photos or autos? Actually, it's pretty much the only question as of right now. Lol.. I don't have many grows under my belt, but I've been learning a decent amount due to RIU. If ya have any questions, I'm always here(so 2 speak) n will usually have a response for you same day. Good luck to ya NB1347! Plus, no worries... doubt you can piss your wife off anymore than I've pissed off mine! Hahaha

Thank you!! I enjoyed every part of the military except the troglodyte rules about weed. I have 6 autos going right now. I germinated the seeds by soaking in luke warm tap water for a little less than 24 hours and then in paper towels until it sprouted. I got them going on a 20/4 light schedule.

Lookin good and happy right now. We have a heatwave coming through this week so I gotta redirect my a.c. duct from my bathroom into my tent. While I am up there should I tap my exhaust into my a.c. return?

I have a couple of ladies rightness now myself. I have Bubblicious n some type of Diesel, but I'm not sure which one yet. They're a lil over a month. I'm about to sprout LSD-25. I decided to throw her right into a small pot about 5" tall n a 2" diameter. Hopefully, all will be well. I'm actually testing out this soil I've put 2 gether. Either way, keep up the grow n I'm subbed. Definitely gonna ride this out with ya til the end!

My little ones are doing great! I did lose one because it never lost the shell. It was reaching as hard as she could for the light and fell over. I think I got a bit excited and didn't wait long enough when I was germinating.

I also had problems with a shell on a seedling b4. Only one leaf way out n I was truly trying to be patient n failed! It literally was like stuck to the other leaf n I believe I used a toothpick or paper clip to try n free it, but ended up losing the whole top. That had to be my 1st time killing a lil lady!

One week down and I still have 5 out of 6!! I lowered my light to 36" and started misting them with water and seaweed mix. I had some heat issues over the week so I redirected a duct from my bathroom into the tent and added some insulation. Everything is staying around 78°f which I heard is still a bit high but it's the best I can do without adding an additional a.c. unit.
