First Grow

Blueridge grower--you say above in the post with the pics that she is 42 days into flower - that makes you roughly half way through the grow--I'm sure you know that the claims made by most seed companies greatly exaggerate the grow times, if it says 65 days on the pack--add another 20--shes looking great. You also say somewhere that theres not much signs of trichomes yet, don't worry, any NL grow ive ever done visible trichomes only seem to appear on the last 4 weeks or so. also I see furious248 somewhere suggesting that if you grow in organic compost like Bio Bizz then you will most likely benefit from a dose of Epsom salts, this is very true, although I found after many attempts to make this work that a teaspoon of salts in your watering water once every three weeks throughout the grow was the dose that seemed to fix the deficiencies. PS Ive got an NL grow going on in the cupboard just now, only a week into flower. not autos but NL none the less, and Nirvana too. will be good to compare the Feminised NL grow (photo) with the Auto NL you got going. Sorry to keep hijacking but I love NL of all descriptions. I hear good reports of an NL auto strain by Delicious seeds called Northern Lights Blue its supposed to finish quicker I think.
I'll have to check out the NL you mentioned! And she's 42 days old since she popped out of soil yes. Most of the Nirvana Auto NL grows I've stalked seem to finish around 70 to 80 days. I'm not even checking until then. And man as long as talk isn't completely divergent of my topic then I'm good on it man. Hardly hijacking.

I'm very excited with it! She smells great! I'm noticing lack of trichomes so far though. Worries me. I'm sure she will stack some later
Trichomes start their lives flat to the leaf then they pop up like a mushroom, they might be there but not raised. Do you have a x40 microscope ?

Hi, Just came across your journal and am mighty impressed with the way you set out to grow, you can see that this is just the first of many. First, Northern Lights is my favourite strain, must have grown it at least a dozen times, lovely steady groove of a weed, and tough as they come, you could take the pots out to the garden and play a game of football with them and the plants would just carry on as if nothing had happened. I,m interested in how things turn out as Ive just got a Viparspectra 450 and this journal addresses this as, you are growing under a Vipar 300. Your pics are great, the fellow posters in here seem like a good crowd. If I can be any help I,ll chip in with the odd comment, but you seem to be doing well. Good Luck mate. Interested in seeing how the NL autos turn out as I think they would make a good winter grow where the attic temps are too low for around 4 months or so, anyway I digress, good luck and carry on.
They handle the cold quite well. Just really purple up. But I have also had plants on warm weather go purple (not from nitrogen lol)

I do not however the trichomes are undeniably in abundance. I looked today after work and I mean they're beautiful. Of course I'm biased so I'll post pics later. Yall can decide yourselves! :bigjoint: and If they only get more apparent I'll be even happier. I'm just waiting on the buds to swell!

Where's the harvest pics?
Haven't seen blue ridge in a while. Had some problems with my plants and had 2 seeded by a Hermie from the last grow who's pollen didn't die.

Blue ridge and I was comparing nl auto to see the difference between soil and hempy buckets but I stopped my journal and blue ridge seemed to stop not too long after. But I'm sure they are around somewhere. Most likely with his head in the clouds hitting a fat bong. He will be back when it runs out I'm sure

And bam im back. Well I had a good scare. My buddy who was also growing got busted. They found all his shit and confiscated his phone and such. I sketched out because we had talked about plants before and often. I pretty much went underground. But its been a while and everythings blown over. Im still good it seems. During my time off I didnt stop growing, and have grown both a hubbabubbasmelloscope from Mephisto as well as a sour crinkle from mephisto as well. They were beautiful although the sour crinkle yielded a lot less than the rest of the plants so far.
