Pulled the second smallest bud on the little plant. For my bachelor party the 28th haha.
Dried perfectly in 3 1/2 days at a steady 70degrees 50% RH. Weighed out at close to 24 grams if I remember. Just placed in the jar. Humidity read 58%. Placed boveda pack in there too (62%). I'll let cure until next week. Should be enough for light smoking. Rest of the buds are still maturing and chillin. Leaves are fading like crazy

Freshly trimmed ready to hang

Does look really good man! Makes me wana trim off a bud hahaha. Got to hide the scissors from my ass. Lol
Thanks man! Don't do it haha hide em!!. I have had the night temps around 66 trying to get color. The three buds directly in front of the fan just started throwing lavender calyxes, leaves are turning bright yellow. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow, hopefully more color! I think they still needs some time.

Im guna chop it when i get home from work Thursday evening. 930 at lights out on wed night ima pull the plug, chop it around 7pm on thursday. I wonder if it's better to wet trim then hang or cut it hang it then trim when dry. They say wet trimming b4 it dries Causes more of a grassy smell. But i wonder

I do a wet trim removing all the leaves you can, then let it dry and do a final trim.. In the old days all we knew was dry trim.. What a pain in the ass.. took forever..

Can I just do the final trims initially or should I do it in two stages?
You can do a total wet trim if you like... all commercial weed is wet trimmed... It also depends on how close you trim.
I like to leave a couple guard leaves to protect the bud.. This rec weed is trimmed tighter than hell... Getting as much oil material as possible..$$$

I get pretty close and when the bud dry for curing i just re go over some. I know that the trichomes can easily be ruptured while the bud is still wet while trimming so i try to be delicate and not touch the buds

Yeah i find it much easier to do all the triming while its still wet. Took me a lot longer trimming when i let my stuff dry first and i hate trimming so i always just do it wet now.

I do go back and inspect a second time when its dry and make sure its trimmed well. Especially since i dont destem it till its dry so theres some sugar leaves that show themselves when i do

Im going to chop them Friday evening I think. They're looking old and wise. Almost all the hairs are dark orange or red. Trichs are 100% Milky and I see some ambers gathering on the top calyxes but not further down the bud yet. I'm thinking Friday will be the day. Also I didn't really get a hay smell when drying? They seem to have kept their scent all the way to being put in the jar? Is that good or bad haha. I thought everyone complained about a gay smell after chopping and drying?

Thats good. How long did the drying take? I like to make it take at least 7 days. The longer you can make drying take short of mold the better. Heard of ppl getting it to 2 weeks. During the time its drying and theres still plenty of moisture in the chopped bud is when chlorophyll degradation occurs the fastest so the longer you take to dry generally the less curing it takes to bring out the smell and flavor completely

The single bud with stem attached took 4 days to dry. There was no fan. Just holes in the box. I might leave the small fan out of the grow tent when I dry in it since the cfm of my online fan is crazy powerful lol?

Also you sure its dry? The outside of the bud can seem dry while the centers still full of moisture
