I'm thinking about a nice hybrid vape right before my evening yoga but was curious if anyone here had any experience with toke'n pose mechanics. :P
well flexibility is strength so before reading the last 4 pages of Bs comments, Take that into advisement lol. I wake up and stretch for 30 min. Not yoga by any means but it gets me set for the miles of walking and lifting in the day's agenda. Then I work through the day and lift heavy before dinner. Works well for me. Hope it helps in some way

Some smoke and some hockey go well together as well, you see openings and moves that you wouldn't normally notice, and I always seem to be in the right place on the ice

Flexibility is strength ?? The 2 heavily contradict each other to be honest, above a certain threshold.

How so? The more flexible you are the more strength can be achieved.Stretching actually will make you stronger it will build lean muscle or white muscle cells.... that's science. There is no contradiction here... I've seen it and been living that motto for years. It's common knowledge among all the people I have spent years lifting with that are heavy weight lifters without being way oversized for their body's natural frame. Just a example. Being 6 foot at 188-194 pounds benching squatting and dead lifting over 400 on each and 500 on the latter. I stretch as soon as i roll outta bed, during work, before I lift, and before I go to sleep. Give it a shot.

Stretching will of course increase your Range of Movement over time, in a healthy individual..which will allow lifting to utilize more of a muscle..hence, building more of it, provided you're feeding them enough to recovered to their maximum potential. But the term ''Flexibility is Strength'' is extremely incorrect. Stretching does not build muscle, not to a noticable extent anyway. White muscle fibres (Fast Twitch) are utilized in quick movement, but are built slowly. Stretching would need to be extremely fatigue heavy to build them, which may be in your case...but for realistic stretching, it won't do jack since people don't want to spend the large amount of time/muscle energy it would take on something that would have negligible gain compared to other possible excercises. Different strokes for different folkes, if it's working for you that is awesome ! But telling people to stretch and expect gains/fat loss is, in all respect..balony.

You weigh 188-194 pounds and can bench almost 200kg ? Id need some proof to belive that is comprised from largely stretching xD

BTW, stretching that much is putting you in alot of harm for when you excercise or do ANY weight heavy/explosive movments. Be carefull

Smoking before lifting weights for me, same with my track bike. Although, a small bit of alcohol works wonders as well, I learned that from Eskrima.

Yoga is something I'm very interested in after this chic from California showed me a few moves.

If I incorporate that into my regimen I'll be far stronger than I ever was before. I just didn't realize how out of shape I really was until I tried Yoga, even with all the weights and strenuous activity.

Yoga is especially good for body awareness, ability to detach from your inner dialogue, and full understanding of the extent of your body mechanics. I prefer Kriya Yoga and Raja Yoga, which are meditation yogas. Hatha Yoga is the body movement-type Yoga.

Thanks for the heads up, she didn't even mention that.

I'm still getting settled in the new place so yoga may go on he back burner for a bit, there are still a few things a remember her showing me that I do to help my back.

It seems that running and general exercise can be done high, but certain strains will inhibit or exemplify certain activities. I can run twice as far on certain strains, and other strains I feel every ache and pain even though I have a good buzz.

Sidenote, I always thought it common knowledge that strength brings balance and both strength and balance are better achieved as flexibility increases.

Don't believe me, strengthen all three of your glute muscles and watch what happens to your balance and general exercise performance. Also, you'll be able to stand around like a flamingo all day, if that's your thing.
