Never top an autoflower plant. Right?

Collect pollen off that thing, criss with another auto or photo. See what you get.
The thought occurred to me. If I had another space to put it in, I would.

I want to make my own seeds and I will when I have enough filled jars to get me by. :bigjoint:

With the small space I have I plan to do a SOG style seed run. I'm saving 1-2 seeds from every pack I have just to make seeds. Just gotta figure out what strain I want to use for pollen. 12-20 pollinated auto fems in 1 gallon grow bags should give me years worth of beans in 60- 80 days. :leaf:

Last nights pic @ day 75. First signs of amber. She's pulling hard from her leaves now. Most of the "colas" aren't much fatter than a Bic lighter but they're all very solid. As weight builds, her branches are spreading and most of the lower and inner buds are damn near as mature as the tops. I really didn't expect that. With how dense this plant is, I thought she'd be a multi-harvest girl for sure.

Still a LOT of nice dark green leaves on her so with 10+ days to go, she's just getting water from here on.

Bloody Skunks are 3 days above soil so one of them will get topped about 2 weeks after Cheese is harvested. Good times! :bigjoint:

In my short time of experimenting with autos. I have "accidently" topped a few different strains by moving things around an not paying attention as I was getting my room setup properly. Each an every time it has stunned the growth or totally made the plant grow slow an funky. I let them go the distance an the yield was extremely low. In my opinion, just let em go an leave em alone. I have had big success by training autos however, low stress techniques

Autos grow faster. 91 days of autos vs 91 days of photos the auto will have a bigger harvast. Not individual facts like I grew a photo once in 70 days that was bigger.
That's not really true, they just have a life span that's not controlled by lighting, i have had photo plants that are ten times the size any auto could ever get with vigor an auto could never have, vigor and growth rate is determined by genetics and environment, auto's generally grow much smaller and show sex / flower earlier than photoperiod plants, that doesn't mean they are gonna grow bigger in the same time period, in my experience they grow smaller due to their lack of veg time and genetics(ruderalis is a TINY plant , and that's what autos are).

Smaller eh? 5'8" auto's for ya. Sounds like you should pay more attention to the autoflower section. You've already contradicted yourself.

No need to, i got better genetics that aren't a roll of the dice each run, no need to waste my time growing watered down rudies. Also they are the least effiecent plants to grow since they need more light than photo's and don't take well to training and getting good phenos is a total crap shoot you are rolling the dice every time you pop auto seeds you have no clue if its gonna be a runt or a giant, huge waste of resources and time when i have access to elite clones and quality seeds. The only time an auto would be a good idea to grow is if you live in russia, alaska or canada, and are growing outdoors, where the season is short and the hours of the day are fucked up.

Never top an auto flower plant or...
You might end up with a large bowl of herbs

Not gonna weigh it until it's ready for jars. The pan on the right is all the larf. Being as she stayed @ ~22" she had good penetration.
8 quart drain pans.

What I could keep together of the stem.

My last auto harvest I had about an oz per brown paper bag when dry. This plant took 6 bags so, hopeful.
Either way, not too damn shabby for a topped auto that wasn't the healthiest girl for sure. :bigjoint:

I don't take much credit for this. I'm betting the lights had the most to do with her growth. None of my currently growing plants have been trained at all and most of the side branches are right up to the canopy.

The Bloody Skunk's are, well, one is doing good, the other is junk and may get pulled. So, with the probability of ending up with just the 1, I don't think I'm going to top her. The genetics of these don't seem that great anyway so..
Next to germ will me some Mephisto stuiffz, maybe a pair of Heisenburg Special? And one will be topped damnit! I'll start those in a few weeks when my Amnesia finish. I'll run them in the same coco hempys with airstones under inverted netpots in extra large chunky perlite that the amnesia are in. :leaf:

I can't believe how bushy that plant was. The amount of colas blew my mind. I have two auto jock horror's in veg right now and I'm praying they'll come out as nice as yours

P.s. They have both been accidentally topped lol

I attribute the growth rate to the AutoCobs. I have 6 totaling 330w and I'm getting crazy growth and branching compared to my last grow under 400w HID. It's a phenomenal difference in my experience.

Between this cheese and the 2 amnesia I should be looking at near or over a lb from 3 plants. Fingers crossed for the amnesia's to outweigh the Cheese as they have like 6-8 colas about the size of my forearm each.

This is only my 2nd grow so it's certainly not my superior growing skills producing these plants. :bigjoint:
