It's unbelievable you say Trump is corrupt considering the alternative was far worse then a political outsider. Hillary accepted money from foreign countries she lied to your face on a national stage for partisan reasons. Proven corruption by rigging the Democrat primary. She is a elite globalist and you are a fool if you think she would have been better.....smh.
Who is repeating alternative facts in the form of right wing newspeak now? You are a sheep and a weak one at that.

Wow your lack of understanding and way you try to push it on everyone is why I say we need a civil war. The amount of electorates a state has is dictated by their population so Montana does not get as much of a say Cali does because they have 5 times more people. So they get that many more electorates. I understand democracy it's obvious you do not. Direct democracy would be a majority vote which is what you are ignorantly pushing which is best explained in short- two wolves and a sheep talking about dinner. Rise above bro!
Talking to a retarded sheep is getting boring, so, I'll put you on ignore after this.

State: Montana; Population 926,865 EC votes: 3; weight of vote compared to national population: 177%

State: California; Population: 35,893,799; EC voters: 55; weight of vote compared to national population: 84%

The position is President of the United States, not President of mostly small states in the US.

Can't change what the rules were in 2016 and I'm not complaining about the fact that Trump won with a minority vote. But we can change the rules going forward. It doesn't even require federal approval. It can be done at the state level.

This is under consideration in Oregon right now. Once enough states sign on to account for 270 EC votes, the electoral college will be an old artifact of post colonial politics. So far, 10 states have signed on with a 165 EC votes.

So, suck it right wing sheep.

GLOBALIST ESTABLISHMENT ELITES! trump ain't one of those.

Let us sincerely hope that El Dumpster Fire's (hopefully short) reign will teach America a valuable lesson about the selfish despotism of aristocracy that it won't ever forget.

That's the best outcome possible at this point. Even his impeachment and trial for treason, entertaining and well deserved as it might be, would not do our experiment in democracy as much good over the long term.

I've heard about this legislation and I heartily support it.

The bill has already passed in the green states. Oregon, where I live, has already passed the bill in one house and action is awaiting attention in the other. Right now is a good time to ask people in various states call your state representatives to support the National Popular Vote by supporting this bill in their legislatures.

On the map below, each square represents one electoral vote (out of 538 ).

  • Green indicates that the National Popular Vote bill has been enacted into law
  • Orange indicates passage by one legislative chamber
  • Yellow indicates passage by both legislative chambers (but in different years, and hence not enacted)
  • Blue indicates a hearing by at least one legislative committee
  • Gray indicates no hearing

Why didn't Trump release his tax statements? Couldn't possibly be something he's hiding.

Could it?

wow. you must love karl marx. okay so in your opinion the system isn't fair you just want to balance it to where fewer states get to decide? so you want 165 electoral votes to win presidency. so CA-55 TX-38 NY-29 FL-29 PA-20=171.....why would they campaign anywhere else? so the system you oppose you want to manipulate so even fewer states can decide? with 270 our public officials don't just ignore half of the country reminiscent to how the civil war started. do you even get what you are against? just because democrats stack dependent voters doesn't mean they get to decide. you want a united states of California it just doesn't make sense.

"The framers of the constitution included the electoral college because they did not trust the masses to elect a qualified president."

this is a common sign of indoctrination. it seems you understand this part and only this part. well its just not correct. yes the framers after fighting for independence were worried the people would elect a king or a slave but thats is not the purpose of the electoral college very far from it. this is just a misconstrued version. the real reason it exists and the main reason it exist it the in this great united states is the founders wanted each state to have a voice in elections. to avoid mob rule like fogdog wants.

about his taxes..... i really dont care. he is a billionaire i know that. i do believe he loves this great country and really i believe he is holding out for 2020 for the knockout punch.[/QUOTE]

I am a liberal but I do believe that both parties are broken. We need a whole new class of politicians to help fix our broken government.
yep lets go back to the federalist party! the founders never intended for a two party system. im registered independent am considering registering republican since they demonstrated democracy. the people elected trump to their party and they stood behind the peoples decision.

Colorado is yellow. I think it has a good chance here.

Hint: you're one of the masses they didn't trust to help decide the presidency.

That's not even meant as an insult, I'm just asking you to think about it.

Yet not entirely wrong; if we don't settle out differences peaceably, trench warfare awaits our children.

The politics of division aren't a solution unless the goal is mutually assured destruction.
Its naive to claim the democratic party and republican party are one and the same. Or even two sides of the same coin. That kind of analogy only makes sense to self absorbed white men.
