When I ran the numbers, I saw that the hydro gardens nutes had more micros.

It was less expensive for me to go to the manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs than to buy Jacks. I've been very happy with it.

I'm not here to start a pissing contest about which is better, only to point out that dry nutrient makers are all over and a little digging should turn one up in most states.

I see why now... I would have to drive an hour to get 25lb bags of anything. So, ordering online is the same cost for me and more convenient.

I like Jacks but someone show me Jacks or Dyna Gro or whatever that pulls 2 to 2.5 per light,
I run 5-11-26 and a bunch of other dry salts in coco drip dtw under Gavita 750DE's and my Larry OG pips 2lb/light.

Thats 1.2 grams per watt on an 8 week veg.

I'm not even that experienced.

Currently end of week 6:

I also run perpetual, harvesting half my room once a month. Thats 2 lights, 8 plants total, every four weeks.

This ain't voodoo. Dry salts in a balanced nute profile have EVERYTHING A PLANT NEEDS.

Because those girls look like there is a serious imbalance in the force going on there and I'm betting that's what it is.
Also, your 2+ lbs is greatly attributed to your ScROG. I can't do that in a Perpetual garden in ebb n flo buckets.
I have more than 2 plants.
Wait a sec, you are only harvesting 2 at a time in a perpetual. Do you have a bunch in VEG waiting to go into flower? I ask because I can't see how that would be possible to yield 1lb per plant each month without some extended VEG time.

Thats two tables at a time, not two plants. 4 plants to a table so 8 plants per month, maxing at 4lb. Thats 8oz+ plants, which isn't hard.

I veg on the overlap so 8-9 weeks they are ready to flip into the empty tables. Its all in the planning.

And yes i've ran VPD to the numbers and it doesn't work for me. At 83F (with CO2) i'd need 70%+ RH and thats just no good for nobody. Those charts everyone talks about are for leafy veggies, not this arid plant of ours.

MY actual canopy RH is between 50-60%. I run a Quest 205 dehu and that beast is very hard to control, even with a humidistat in-line. It just wants to dry my small 200sqft room completely and doesn't hold back. I'd say its too big for my space, actually, but incredibly efficient.

I believe my leaves look as they should for week 6/7 on 8 week strains. Some purpling from cool night temps and beginning to age from all the hard work.

I get the results so happy with the setup, even though we know everything can always improve. I don't call this dialed-in by any means, just countering the posters' point that dry salts couldn't hit good numbers.

I don't know anything and i'm doing it.

FWIW, when I was meddling with plant count numbers per table I hit 14oz from one solo plant which I was impressed/surprised by. Then I ran two plants per table and got 20oz between them. Finally decided on four per table to get 32oz and more.

Factoring in light footprint, light intensity and crossover, scrog / canopy spread etc it became apparent that it is not a multiplier situation; ie. one plant 13oz so 4 must equal 52oz. Not the way it works.

I've also experimented with pot size and landed on 3gal being sufficient, 5gal better if veg time is extended beyond the planned 8 weeks or the plant roots particularly vigorously (and I do see some variation here even in the same pheno). My observation is that bigger doesn't seem to be better with this veg + bloom time and only uses up more medium and watering. Its an area I can economize on, together with cost-efficient fertilizers like we are talking about.

I agree with you about VPD. Though, one strain I had (ECSD) had issues with it being in the 50% range. I never had that issue before and when I was researching it, that's when I found the VPD issue. About 2 years ago.

Since then I haven't had an issue. I think my issue actually was more related to light intensity. I had those OG square style reflectors. They do some seriously deep focus penetration.
I switched out reflectors this past year to those XXL style wide ones. I say it like that because they are not brand name.

I would like to see your setup. Maybe after my summer harvest this year, I could switch over to your method. I would love to only have to tend to a few plants rather than having to deal with so many.

I run salts and a couple of biostimulants only: Hydroguard + Recharge. Have been trialling Mammoth P but don't consider it anywhere near essential.

Number one reason for my yielding is without a doubt lights. Gavita 750 DE's ramped up and footprint overlapping perfectly in this 9 x 12ft room. Light is the limiting factor every time.

I'm really considering buying a few of the 750's real soon and putting down my single Ender's.
What kind of coverage do you get from them? I read they'll cover a 5x5 well but it seems weird when I hear the 1000's cover a 4x6 most efficiently.

I think any de footprint is gonna be more rectangular than square.

Just like to add, I use Jacks hydro and a generic cal nit with RO water. Works perfectly. My first round I used pure RO and had deficiencies like crazy. Now I add in about 5 gal of my well water pre softener to about 45 gal of RO. Better stabilization. The mix comes out at 5.8-5.9PH. I’m using promix plus extra perlite. No way I could afford GH or some other bottled nutes for 50 gal of water. I get the big bags of jacks and a big bag of cal nit. Will last forever. Don’t know why people spend of expensive nutes. Maybe it makes sense for small grows.

I just got two bags, do you mix by weight or by volume?

sorry to hijack but what would your opinion be on the hydro garden 4-20-39 mix plus cal nit anything else? Im ready to go for pure salts just trying to find a good base profile
