Insomnia/Seasonal Acute Depression

This winter has been exceptionally dark and rainy here in Oregon.:-(

If your new to the Pacific Northwest you might not be aware that the long dark rainy winters can disrupt your circadian rhythm, decrease your melatonin levels and make it difficult to sleep, even depressed sometimes. There are clear patterns of brain wave activity, hormone production, cell regeneration and other biological activities linked to this daily cycle.

I wanted to pass along some great news about this all natural herbal product I started using that is working very well. I just take one full dropper full and I am ready to sleep in about 30 minutes or less.
But the best part about this product for me is that I am finally getting a full 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!:-P
I personally think its much better then any pharmaceutical sleeping pill out there! I dont feel any sort of grogginess in the morning at all from taking this.

I am also getting this Light Therapy Lamp. So I will let you know how it works! :p
Hopefully the rain ends soon, but right now, its seems like its never ending. :peace:

I use either a cannabis tincture I made from some couch-lock indica bud, or this -

Thank you for posting Humanrob.
I have bookmarked this Herbal Sleep Supplement. Deep Sleep.. I read they sell it at Wholefoods and I have one locally, so that works out well...
. It is also sold on Amazon as well and got really good reviews!
Wholefoods is usually really great about returns so if it doesn't work I am sure they will take it back.

The nice thing about the Nocturest is that its a liquid and works extremely fast and they have a 60 day money back gaurentee . But it is not as easy to get because is not sold on Amazon or at local shops, just the official website as far as I can tell.

The Deep Sleep has some of the same ingredients that the Nocturest has. But the Nocturest has melatonin, which is a very important sleep aid.... but the Deep Sleep has Poppy, which is interesting because I have not seen that in a sleep aid ingredients before.

As far as cannabis goes for me and sleep, well smoking it does not work for my seasonal insomnia , not any heavy Indica I have tried will put me to sleep. I have tried many many and they just dont help this type of seasonal insomnia for me.

If I had enough weed and a garden, which i don't at the moment, i would try to make a heavy indica tincture... but until then, these products will have to do.
And the nocturest works, why bother?

Im sure that sitting under your plants works but i think it might also have some hazardous UV light rays that are harmful. I used to have to apply sunscreen when ever i was working or hanging with my marijuana plant lights. The light I purchased is specifically for SAD and does not carry the harmful light spectrum that mj plant lights use.
I have to be very careful with my skin due to my history of Skin Cancer and I hate wearing sunscreen if i can help it. :peace:
For the SAdepression, cannabis works the best for me that department. . :weed:

I suffer from the 'seasonal blues', as well.

I've been successfully fighting off the gloom with a strict regimen involving weed, beer, late night sex, and constant masturbation.

Also, dogs and music are fantastic.
Take your sunglasses off while masturbating in your garden; getting more light in your eyes has been shown to significantly improve symptoms.

...oh, and lay off the booze if you're trying to avoid depression. Sorry.

Oh no, NEVER sunglasses in the garden. (How do you know that I whack off out there, btw? Not saying if I do or NOT, but, I mean, I might have a time or ten...)
I adore the sun. Worship it, in fact.

Regarding the booze, though, that's a no-go, bro - I'm a (semi?) functioning alcoholic, so there's that....

A wanker's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Spooge is an excellent foliar nutrient- or so I'm told, at least.

Label reads like one of my salad dressings. Just need some balsamic/wine vinegar and an oil base.

LED does not emit UV.
thanks great news. While waiting for my Therapy light to arrive I have been using my LED light .

I wanted to share some FANTASTIC news with ya'll.
After countless attempts with finding the perfect pillow for sleeping, I finally FINALLY HAVE!

Its called the the THE SOBAKAWA Buckwheat Pillow!:-P
I bought mine online Walmart for $29.88.
I have bi-lateral shoulder arthritis and cervical issues so I need a pillow that can mold to side sleeping and back sleeping in an instant and this pillow meets all of my strict standards for comfort.
Its organic and can last over 10 years or more!

One of my colleagues sister has one and loved her's so much she takes it everywhere with her. I have a funny feeling I will be doing the same!:peace::-P

I remember those infomercials in the 80s, lol. They actually work? Huh, no shit.

I was curious about those 'My Pillows', but I heard the founder is a Drumpf supporter, sooooo....

Also, in regards to your seasonal depression:  The sun always returns.

Thank you Big Lou.
I was so pleasantly surprised with the Sobawaka pillow! It is a very heavy pillow. Imagine a heavy grainy material with a sand like consistency and weight. That is what the pillowis like. So i imagine paying for shipping would be quite expensive.

I have tried the my pillow and it doesn't work well for me. My husband seems to like his. It is filled with things that appear to resemble that popcorn like foam stuffing for packaging .like small separate pieces of stuffing in that pillow.
