8x12 shed w/ an 8x8 stealth room- completed

I started about 2 months ago, we got a new house and it had a nice metal shed out back with bare wood framing (2x4s)
The shed is 12 deep by 8 wide.
There had been electrical at one time but must not have been up to code when the house was sold because it was disconnected.
I stripped all the old wire.
I insulated all of the walls and the ceiling, and then i built a partitioning wall 4 feet into the shed going from left to right.
I completely insulated this wall also.
While building this wall i added a box fan in it, placed right in front of the huge air conditioner (450$ at lowes last year) for my intake air.
This works great!
I framed the wall so that i can add one more box fan if i need, and cut out the siding around one face where the fan Is for easy access inside the wall.

In the meantime i ran new electircal all the way through, with outlets in the walls and the ceiling.

I have just about finished the room in the last couple weeks. I seperated the 8x8 room into two 4x8 rooms, divided by a 2x4 frame with a tarp

I got my co2 regulator, timer, and bottle hooked up this week. I had set up a 4 inch turbine through the roof with a carbon scrubber but since adding co2 i have blocked the exhaust vent and scrubbed from one 4x8 back into the other. I also have a fan pulling air through the tarp from one side to the other, then it scrubbed back to to the first room as i said through the 4 in fan. It is scrubbed back into the room that has the box fan.
Thus works okay but will need upgrading.

Thanks man!
I havent grown these strains before, but yes i do feel like it makes a difference.. mostly because i only have the t5 up top. I usually hang two 4 foot 4 bulb t5s along the sides but these seem to work just as good.. maybe.
Ive been tempted to switch it up to see

No snow here.. heat is more of an issue here in the desert. Plus i am lucky enough that my house overhangs the shed and a giant tree shades both.. ive been thinking of how to best do my perpetual cycle.

This is a super rough sketch just to get my first idea on paper

Since i already have this thread started, I'm going to add pics as I keep adding to and upgrading my room. :)

I'm sure I stated before, the room is 8x12 partitioned off to 8x8 for stealth reasons, and then divided in half to make two 4x8 rooms.

I have built a top feed& drain table in the right side room . I'm liking it so far, but giving it time to work out the flaws. So far there are none to note.

I just received my 6 inch can fan today with filter, which I will hook up to the Apollo enclosed a/c 600w hps when it arrives tomorrow.
This is the first of 4, or possibly 6, but let's not get ahead of ourself.. lol

I flowered out the 2 autos in the 40 gallon rdwc tote, under a 8 bulb t5 and a Mars led. Got just over 3/4 of a lb.
Not to impressive lol.

Good things are coming, sub this thread and stick around to see what happens!

Got my 600w a/c apollo in today. Also got my fan and filter hooked up.
All I lack is hanging the light and buying 2 more 6 inch hose clamps to secure the dryer tube to the light.
It's coming along :)

Awesome!! It's great to see how people can think, plan and build differently and still reach the same goals. Planning out something similar on my end and can't wait to get started with the build. Keep it up. Subbed ...

Got the light in today. Since hooking up the 6 inch fan in replacement of the 4 inch, my temps have dropped from 76-77 on average to 71 and I have seen it drop to 68.
I should be able to raise my ac temp to 74-75, or if I turn all the leds off i and just run the hps air-cooled, ij may be able to turn the ac off completely..

I never thought I'd be able to think about doing that, so that's a huge plus!

Looming good but might want to consider your light distances, look pretty close across the board
I think the hps is a bit closer than most people run, but it stays cool to the touch so I'm hoping this won't be too much of a problem.

Is it bad to have a hps within a couple feet if is air cooled and heat is no issue?

I plan on running a bunch of clones vegged 1 or 2 weeks then straight to flower under the hps. I'm thinking this will help to keep them moderately short. I will also scrog most likely.

My temps are running ways cooler in the room since I hooked the fan and light up because im exhausting air from the room through a 6 inch blower instead of the 4 inch.
I even shut off my ac completely today to try and get my temps up to 75. . I'm liking this problem lol

Awesome setup + lights! Pics are a trip on their own! Loving the thick dense nugs from the T5 :)
The t5s mixed w leds did very well for me for a while. They were low cost (somewhat), low heat, and low power consumption.
I used the t5s for about 5 grows, in 2 different rooms. But now that I have my room set up exactly how I want it i figured it was time that I upgraded to some more powerful lights.
I have a friend that doesn't have a spot to grow and was asking about me starting something for him at my place.
We ended up deciding on I'll keep him 2 or 3 autos going at all times, and he lets me use his card to buy 2 lights a month.
He bought me the 2 600w galaxyhydros last month, then he bought the 600w hps and fan+filter for me last week.
I'm more than happy with the trade :)

Anyway, the t5s gave me decent nugs, but they often turned out quite airy and I had shit tons of popcorn always even with keeping up with underbrush. I'm hoping the hps helps with this.

I plan on buying 3 more total. That will be two 600w air-cooled high pressure sodiums per each 4x8 room. Hopefully it works out good.
I'm loving that I don't have to run my air conditioner at all anymore. I thought my temperature was going to go up, instead it went down !

Thank you I appreciate the kind words!
My ducting is a bit of a mess at the moment but will definately be cleaned up in the next couple weeks. I was putting it up trying to set up the 6 inch duct as to make it fairly easy to install the 3 new hps as I get them.
I should just be able to cut the duct and hang the light, throw two hose clamps on, plug it in and be good to go!
That's the plan anyway :)

600 hps in an air cooled hood surprised me with how cool they run with no a/c aswell. Nice fabrication work in the shed!
Thanks! Today I actually hooked up the turbine fan used to cool the light to my tenp controller box . Instead of being always on, it will start exhausting at 78 and turn off at 71 degrees.
I'm not sure if this is good for the light bulb..?
Would probably be better for bulb to have constant temp.. but it's better for my room to be warmer than 65 which is what is has been running.. with the ac off.
Before the cooled hood ac stayed on 24/7.
