no avocados from the store the "seed" it doesnt bare fruit google it
I googled it but I couldn't verify this, are you sure? I actually found a bit of evidence to the contrary, including lots of stuff like this: "You can start with the seed of an avocado.[...] If you are growing from seed, it can take anywhere from 5 to 13 years before the tree is mature enough to set fruit." http://www.californiaavocado.com/how-tos/your-own-avocado-tree
The closest to saying it can't be done was from (http://homeguides.sfgate.com/avocado-trees-grown-storebought-seeds-produce-fruit-60009.html) and even there it never says it's impossible it just says "Growing a productive tree from store-bought seed requires exceptional luck." but still explains how it can be done.
I think it might just be that many people do not have the right environment, or not enough trees or local bees to effectively pollinate, and that makes it seem somewhat impossible. But I haven't seen anything that says its impossible at all.

It might just be 1 or two varieties like the calvo or hass(whatever those really small ones at most stores is) avo that will not grow from seed.

But avocados are very easy to grow from seed, you just dont know how the fruit will turn out and it takes a few years before you will find out. That's why many just graft trees or air layer to save you the suspense.

The tree in my picture is on its second season of fruiting. It's only about 3-4 years old from seed and maybe 25 feet tall. The avos are really good and butteryimage.jpeg

don't feel bad..
I can humbly say I have a helluva greenthumb, I can grow damn near everything, I can even get orchids to grow, reflower, over and over..
I COULD NOT GET AN AVOCADO TO SPROUT...
tried, and tried, and tried, and tried...
how I did it?
well... I tossed it in my compost pile.
Boom, done.
now it's four feet high. Two yrs old.
But my entire adult life I tried to germ maybe 20 avocados, and NONE of them ever sprouted...
motherfuckers...

Yeah seeds in my compost pile sprout I find them when I turn it and then I put them in the middle of the compost to take them out. Now you guys are making me want to grow some citrus trees
I get little tufts of sprouts all the damn time, pretty sure it's from the tomatoes in my wormcastings.
don't bother me though, plus it gives the damn chipmunks something else to eat, they dig up the worms in my soil EVERY damn night.
fuckers are smart too, they didn't know the plants had worms in them until like 6 months ago now EVERY container, inside or out, is got these lil 2" holes dug through them.
bastards keep digging out my plant markers too
I got one dank zappa (I think) that is unnamed now..
looked all over for it's tag.
