Cold temperatures while lights are off

Hello.

Im growing indoors in a very cold house, temperatures can get as low as 55º fahrenheit while lights off. Winter is coming (heh) and im worried that it may kill my plants.

I was wondering if this is dangerous for my plants or cannabis can tolerate temperatures this low. I have a black ceramic heating bulb so I can use it to raise my temperature up to 60-65 while lights are off.

Is this enough or shall I be worried?

My winter temps were similar. Had a good outcome. Granted it's not optimal
May I ask what strains did you grow?

run the lights at night..........or use autos, lol
Yep I already do that, but still gets pretty cold at daytime. I live in the mountains so we can get temperatures under 30 fahrenheit.

Shoot for 65f at lights off. Below 60 and root growth will slow significantly and stunt bud growth.
Ok, I'll do that.

So I guess you haven't noticed any slow growth with those temperatures?
Opposite running 71° room temp with 75° canopy and then 61 at night but ac will push to 58 then let dehume till 61 then repeat. Never an issue buddy just pulled last crop same system as me 2.37 a light over 14 gavitas and 56 plants he runs 69 day 59 night

Any documentation of stunting bud growth I mean mine is consistently right now at 58°-61° room temp lights off like I want it and idk see any stunting ever this is day 53 of 63 lol View attachment 3787818
Verifiable fact = bud growth depends on root structure and lots of them.
Verifiable fact = root growth happens mostly during lights off.
Verifiable fact = cold affects root development.

No documentation of my own, but i run many strains regularly and ALL of them produced less when my lights off temps have dipped below 60f on a consistent basis.

That's cool I've grown over 10,000 plants in a commercial setting for a huge concentrate company actually#1 in Colorado and my own grows for past 10 years and they/I run 58-61 night and 71 day time. I also run a lot of strains in fact in my basement right now have over 47. You wanna say 55 and lower shit even 57 cuz never pushed it there and can't argue it but 58-61 at night and 71 day is optimal. Btw we only got our bonuses if we hit 2.3+ lbs per light in rooms of 180 plants with 45k watts lol

Plenty of posts, 1 or 2 actual suggestions as usual...

I have the same problem and I would love it if someone had a solution to this. I have used a small (pc fan sized) heater fan from ebay, which works okay, but I'm kind of hesitant to leave it on at night because fire hazard. An alternative might be using an aquarium heater in a water container, to serve as a small radiator. They are often variable and shouldn't be hazardous to leave unattended for hours.
