Only 2.5% of people grow their own marijuana!

The only ones who think this way are those seeking to profit from the black market. Among the few people who got rich off the gold rush were those selling supplies to prospectors but once the rush was over they all went back home. That's what will happen to "the industry" I predict. But then again I don't see how the friends & family I already hook up on the regular will ever stop buying from me to go pay taxes and markup at a dispensary once they can. People I know don't even want to bother with the trouble of growing their own but that could change once you are able to drop a few clones in your garden out back & have a supply for almost nothing.
Yes the black market sellers and the people scaredof Monsanto

far more people now are growing food and cannabis than they were even 5 years ago. Even schools are teaching kid s how to grow food now. My school's never did that.

How many farmers markets are there every weekend these days.

A lot more people are brewing beer now too. Look at all the microbreweries that popped up over the last 10 years. By the the thousands.

If you go to Iowa everyone grows corn. I thought my buddy was just joking until I went to visit him. The have corn fairs. You see breeds of corn there that you will never see anywhere. They bred peaches and corn together even...

The only ones who don't have any work ethics is anyone born after 1990
^^^^^ yup tell a 20 year old he needs to haul a ton of dirt into the swamp then trudge through the mud, heat, and carnivorous bugs twice a week to tend the plants. That's why there are not many doing it here lol. Lazy bastards :(.

My dad churned his own butter, butchered his own meat, etc. It was the Baby Boomers through Gen-X who abandoned the agrarian way of life, and who can blame them? That shit was hard. Now we can make decisions about our involvement, and people are trying to become more food independent, it is a natural pendulum-swing based on previous history. And the kids these days are fine, most of them are smarter than us, and a lot of them work their asses off. This idea there's no work ethic in the youth is the same as all the "kids these days" bugbears; Imaginary. It is probably a product of The Availability Heuristic and Confirmation Bias cognitive biases, and I don't blame you for thinking it, but future data crunching will show the same basic trends that have always existed. Our IQs are going up, generationally.

It is true that children spend less time outside these days, and I think we need to address that directly, we need to foster a love and participation in the natural planet, but they aren't lacking in work ethic.

Actually your probably right and only perceptions change for the most part!
I think we need to make sure physicality remains a part of human experience, for everyone, so sending a twenty year old trudging through a swamp carrying bricks or whatever you said, I'm all for that. Everyone needs a few experiences like that, to be well rounded.

My stepdaughter was racking leaves with one hand and texting with the other .... and getting paid....nope fired lol. Hired the younger one and she's just the best little (child labor lol) worker I've seen :).
So fired. One thing if it is just normal housework duty, but if you're getting paid...no. That's a solid life lesson. One day she will grow dank colas, because of this. :D

Na I'm thinking stripper actually. Not that that's a bad choice....just sayin. I actually used to say my son would have the best teeth in the whole crew of street urchins but he went back to school and now a contributing member of society :) all it took was a kick out of the warm clean food supplied life he had grown accustomed to.....mom (ex wife) coddled him :). He now says why should he have done anything when it was done for him lol. Oh and house chores .... they call that abuse now I believe lol.

You guys ever wonder if its legalized in every state, everyone will start growing and the prices will get so low it wont be worth growing anymore? I have a fear of this...all good things come to an end"?
Dude do you grow for profit or for your own happiness,I think during most growers grow scene time,we have all grown for money, but even when I grew for money ,I only ever did one plant out the two for a holiday ,there is nothing wrong with growing for financial profit,we all done it like I said .But once you get over that and just grow for meds,it makes you feel far less stress knowing that the stuff your growing helps makes me and my wife ,live our life's with out pain. There will all ways be a market for high grade stuff,my advice ,if I was growing to make money is look at a few of the top selling then do a cross, something that has the wow factor, love like when I did my bl#1 x ec #1 x jtr ,people was hunting that down and still do to this day,but the trick is to give no one any cuts from it,no matter who they are or the strain will become less rare,no matter how much people say they won't give cuts of it out,I give that and Bazil kush to no one .

What I'm getting at its all the smokers ,the buyers of 8th 's or 1/4 was all into haze strains they brought more on the street, same has the Pineapple Express now,I have been offered £200 a oz on it,but it ain't for sale, but I will be putting one in a garden I have at a friends who grows for cash,I just get my 1/2,I provide the stuff and do the growing,6 plants .they was in to haze strains ,but it was not viable to run the hazes they was buying like nevilles and super silver haze 12/14 week.so we came up with nitro lemon haze x a friends haze he has had years, the result was a 8/9 week haze ,that they loved ,but he slipped up and sold a set of 5 clones that 5 become 100's and the value went from 180/190 to 160.Thats why I never share my breeding projects people understand that of me now ,I love producing strains that get people talking,it's funny because I have had people talking about the haze cross we did in a golf club we go in ,he said he was the one that came up with it ,even though it was bought of the guy I passed the end product too to get shut of ,I find it funny the shit people spew out about strains ,even more so when they had a drink

Im a dudette btw. I grow for many reasons, and mostly to be able to afford things I need to produce meds for ppl with cancer, free of charge. When I found out 10 yrs ago that mmj could possibly cure cancer..I wanted to grow and help ppl.
I do appreciate your honesty about making profits, as others wont admit to it.

I just went to visit a prof from college that has stomach cancer and left him a bag and will be taking more to him if it helps ..... Great feeling as it's the first time I've been in a position to help and the money thing is not a huge deal anymore.

You are paying your daughters cell phone bill, pretty sure she is just fine with being fired as long as you keep that phone on....

Nope not me lol. That's the one and only thing her deadbeat dad did pay because I refused. That and the Internet became a place where all the little bitches could talk about everyone and caused huge problems to the point police were called......yup that was special lol. She is no longer under my roof after the "your a fucking asshole" incident lol, the younger stepdaughter is just a super kid but not the older one :(. In saying all that I do feel sorry for her, she went through a pile of emotional shit ...... She got used as a weapon :(.

These goverment figures or you got these numbers from some where else.

The problem i see with getting a real picture of how many grow,is even in a legal situation not many will admit they grow.

In the uk i would say that there is at least one perhaps two grows on every road on council estates
