You should be fine taking clones off in a month, remember is your clone is as mature as the original plant it came from its just a real small for its age.lol

you usually want to clone after 4-6 nodes have grown. i like to wait for a few days before i put them into flowering. plus when you flower most of the lower growth doesnt produce that much bud, so you use those cutting as clones

you can cut from 1 clone root it cut from that clone root it cut from the third generation clone ive done this like 20 times after a while they start to look really weird but keep gettin bigger and contrary to popular belief THEY DO NOT loose potency

I think the reason they are getting bigger is because you are getting better!!

its best to wait till a plant is about 4 to 5 nodes , 6 nodes is when you can deff take a clone off the top to make it start branching out

My feeling is you are half correct.
He is getting better. But when you take a clone, You are not truely taking a clone. A clone is totally different then taking a CUTTING. a clone is splitting some small little thingy and so on. Anyway when you do this it is like copying a copy. Which if you continue to do it, it degrades. Now with a cutting. You are taking a true cutting of that plant. Lets put it this way, If i could take a cutting of myself, there would now be two of me. Exactly the same, same attitude, same hates, same everything. But with a Clone they start new, but a copy.

Now with a cutting, even though you just cut it yesterday, it is still as mature as the first plant in the cycle. As in, if you have taken cuttings from a mother for 2 years, that cutting has the maturity of a two year old plant. Now when this mature plant is a clone, it needs to grow fast and quick, it kind of freaks a little. I still get results from what most people call stressing the plant,,,,,..... Oh NO!! Don't do that it will Hermie...

Just a thought. maybe I am wrong. Have been before, will happen again.

Hardly anyone actually takes clones. They call them clones, but they are not. They are cuttings. Two totally different things. You would not want to take a clone of a clone of a clone.
But you can take cuttings of cuttings and no big deal.
