COB stands for chip on board and it's a cluster of LEDs in a single package encapsulated in yellow phosphor they are more efficient than individual leds. It's a 23mm light emitting surface that produces about 30% more light than California light works per watt. We offer RIU members a 20% discount, by using coupon RIU20 so the price comes to $639.20.

Thank you, really cool of you to answer that. I will look more at these lights and grow logs. And yeah, with that discount does make it cheaper.

Oh damn, I only used RIU15 when I made my purchase last year. That's a good deal you're offering now!

I think you should and all other cob light manufacturers should put a control on the fans they use. Just put a resistor on it though so it can't go lower than what is necessary. Fan noise is annoying.

Havent been able to post much, spilled VG on my fucking laptop and had to get it fixed -.- got it back and got an update for ya'll:
Day 10 since the flip, just stopped tucking branches under a couple days ago. the stretch is savage!

So the 8 GDP in Canna coco became really stunted in growth, and the bottom leaves were turning yellow, i assumed it was a nitrogen deficiency, so we gave them a small watering with nutes a couple days ago and they're finally starting to go back to growing lol Most likely will top them all in a few days. We bricked out by not giving them nutes when we planted transplanted them and gave them only water (pre-soaked the coco), and it was taking so long to dry up we didnt want to water them with the coco still wet. Should be all smooth sailing from here on out with sufficient nutes every watering.

And our GDP mother is doing fine in happy frog soil which has a bit of nitrogen already in it, so a first watering with only water has not effected her too badly.

If you don't have a thermostat for your grow yet consider the Inkbird thermostats.

Exhaust is always running, so even with the intake fans off, air is still drawn through the intake ducts. (You can hookup a heater because it is a two stage thermostat, but no need for heating here in California)
I have it set to a target temp of 75F, with a differential of 3F. IE: When temperature hits 78F (75F + 3F) the intake fans kick on. Once the temp hits 72F (75F - 3F) the fans shut off. repeat. The unit constantly reads the current temp, and the set target temp (75F). The cord for the probe is pretty long so i routed it through a duct into the tent, so i could mount the meter to the outside of the tent so i dont even need to open the tent to check temps.

However the temperature probe is on a long wire, with a metal tip that you have to mount somewhere at canopy height, I currently have it at the side of the canopy, where my old thermometer was. just out of direct light.

Its been over a week now and i have to say this was the best investment i made for only $38! I was skeptical at first because i could not find anyone using these InkBird thermostats in any grow rooms, but i am glad i got it. With it shutting off 3 42w fans it can help save a bit of electricity here and there, and most importantly keep your ladies happy. I am so happy with the product i am going to buy another one for the other side of the tent, and i would recommend it to anyone needing something to manage their heating/cooling needs.
