yet another secret from the cannabis college. find a "Makita, ceramic cored heat gun". i found mine 1 block away brand new for $80. it has a temp range of 250 - 1100. model #HG1100. then i ran across town and thru down $130 for the full volcano bag and valve kit. it comes with everything but the $500 base. i went home thru it all together and loaded it up. set the heat gun to 1 clicked BELOW the #2 setting. turned it onto low and let it warm up 5 seconds. the heat gun fits the volcano valve perfectly. it slowly fills. done. i'm am feeling pretty darn good right now. the volcano kit comes with a steel wool type disk screen. i loaded it up with honey oil after i did 4 bags of green crack. i'm loving this. :blsmoke::blsmoke:

Makita is the only one i have personally tried so it's the only one i can endorse. :blsmoke::peace:
This works absolutely perfect. I just got my Makita HG1100 and volcano solid valve kit. Playing around with the temp I think I like starting it just a little past 1 and then working my way up a little with each bag to just under 2. This is pretty awesome... I'm wrecked. Thanks for the great tip FDD:)

DO NOT BUY THE GOTVAPE dot COM HEAT GUN!

This is a $35 Wagner they sell for $80! Also it is NOT a ceramic core gun.

I literally just saw one in the store an hour ago and it had the GotVap sticker on top of the Wagner sticker. You could still see the last "r" in Wagner and the copyright symbol. Poor guys had it marked up to $150.

Expensive $35 Heat Gun

Inexpensive $35 Heat Gun

If the GotVape version at least came with a bowl ($40) it might be worth it if you couldn't find the gun or a bowl anywhere but without the bowl it's $45 too expensive.

Anyway, great article! I'm going to see if I can't get the parts for cheaper though. I can get a Da Buddah for $150 so buying a valve and some bags for $130 seems a little high... no pun intended.

i got the Black & Decker Heat Pro Deluxe temp range of 100f to 1100f it was only $43 from lowes. but i dont know if its ceramic core or not. does anyone know? it looks like it has metal coils on the inside. works awsome with a bong or a bowl makes the whole room reek like the bud your smoking not like burnt stuff. thanks for the good idea fdd.

This is the gun I bought, has been working great now for a month or 2, I called the 800 number and they did say it was a ceramic core... big companies don't lie do they......
oh yeah, me and everyone who tries this loves it, and the best part is they think I am a genius... but I am not.:o

I actually ended up getting the Milwaukee 8988-20 with an LED display and ceramic core for 99$. Anyone used that gun? It says it has 10 degre increments and goes from 90-1050. I hope it works out well.
