Mold!

I have 4 outdoor plants which are nearing the end of their flowering, but this morning I noticed white furry mold growing on some the lower buds and stems.. aaarh!

What can I do to get rid of it? Do I just have to cut out the affected areas, or is there a non-destructive method to get rid of it?

Help!

You're gonna hafta cut the affected areas off and I'd harvest right NOW and dry the buds as quickly as possible.

Unless theres some type of solution or something that I don't know about... my opinion is that you should harvest immediately in an effort to salvage what you've got. Mold will continue to spread now that its established itself on your plants. Simply cutting away affected areas won't stop it from continuing to spread. If I were you, I'd cut my losses and harvest now. They may not be ready... but if you harvest now, at least you know you'll come away with something.

It's not what I was hoping to hear, but thanks for the advice anyway!

I read somewhere that spraying with water / Bicarb soda solution helps stop the spread. Anyone tried this?

if it wernt an outdoor grow i would say use a sulpher pot .... there may be some way to use sulpher outdoors though and it will keep the mold at bay long enough to finish your grow

This time of year it will be very difficult to stop mold.If you have dry weather forcasted, you may cut the affected areas and hope it doesn't spread. But if there is high humidity or rain forcasted...you have been given the best advice. Harvest now. After a late rain, if the humidity and temps are right the plant can mold over in ONE NIGHT. So the risk is out there.

Rippers and mold....the only 2 reasons I moved inside. Now when it rains...no more malox. now when the choppers are up...no more malox. Now when I hear kids talkin shit about "found weed" I feel a little less like homicide..

This Saturday is meant to be hot and dry here, so I'll cut out the moldy bits and harvest it at the end of the day when it has dried out a bit. Then I'll keep a good eye on the plants while drying them.

I've also just bought some hydrogen peroxide to spray on the affected areas, as read past threads it seems this helps.

Has anyone else here tried hydrogen peroxide to stop mold? Any advise?

Hydrogen peroxide is a fungicide. It sounds to me you are explaining powdery mildew or another name for it is false mildew. Usually occurs when temperatures fluctuate too much and the humidity too high in fluctuations. There is a spray that I use its called Mildew Cure by safergro totally organic. It has a slight tinge of garlic but not the overwhelming garlic smell of that blasted Serenade. I have it at times in my indoor grows and all I can do is keep it at bay or perhaps it is just the strain I grow which is g-13 which is susceptible to mildew growth but does not annilhate the plant. The original one is lost or kept in some laboratory. I have the one that is not even close to the thc level as the original. G-13 exists commercially but it has been cross bred with males of numerous phenotypes. basically my g-13 is g-13 back crossed with g-13 but like I said no where near the original. Maybe if I find my daughter's digital camera I will take photos of the mother and flowering plants well a master kush is mixed with the g-13's

It would help but I do not know the exact doasge to use as an adequate foliar spray on its own. I use hydrogen peroxide with einstein oil and cocowet as a miticide and fungicide dip or spray prior to every transplant I make.

all you have to do is get a fungicide theres one called "concern" and it will definetly help!
