Bodhi Jabba's stash

This grow report begins with 6 jabbas stash seeds from Bodhis seeds.

6 out of 6 germination
2 mutations, 1 died. No cotyledons
The second mutation was two seedlings in one seed giving us 6/6.

This grow will take extra time because clones will be selected although all females will be kept to retain any phenotype.

This is due to a grow room location change.

Today i am transferring 6 seedling sprout to red solo cups with a sunshine pro mixed soil. With a few added ingredients:). Nothing special for now.

Heres alittle seedling root porn 20151001_124511.jpg

Okay we got our 6 jabbas in red cups of soil under approx 250 watts T5 florescent.

Will move to 450 watts and transplanted to 2-2.5-3 gallon pots to set up for cloning.

Here are the six as is. Can you tell which one was the smaller twin?20151002_123510.jpg

Will have a few pic updates soon. Got two females outta six. Slow veggers is right lol. But stout and strong and takes stress/training well. I have one that looks alittle more snow lotus and one thats alittle more bubba obviously.(if one is more snowlotus and there only two). Love the root space, they hated being cooped up un little one gallons even wen small. They also like it dry. Not thirsty. Cant say much on food yet.

First two pics r the more bubba dom.one i think. The second black and white(led light effect on.camera) is the more snow lotus. But. both look like good hybrid representations. The first one Jabba 1 bubba dom was topped. The second didnt show sex till late thinking alittle lomger flower on.that one is being.trained pver to.get a quick.clone.

I thought it was crazy too, but i had to be sure so ileft in in flower alittle long and its taking some time to turn back for a clone. Both plants were/are strong and vigorous. I really like this plant. The leaves are really broad amd dark

I currently have 5 female Jabbas Stash in my tent, today is day 43 of flower. I popped 7 beans and got 5 females. They are nice plants with a fair bit of variation in structure. I was surprised by the extent a couple of them stretched, as I had expected them to have a short indica like structure, only 2/5 stayed short though.

Some of them will definitely be finished by 8-9 weeks but I think one or two will go for 10 or more weeks. The plants are nice and frosty and smell pretty tasty, but the smell is not overpowering.

I really would not be counting on this strain to stay particularly short. It very well could, but out of 5 females I have 2 short, 1 medium and 2 tall. I do veg for long periods but I also top multiple times.

Thanx for the input. Its always good to hear separate accounts. I got a bubba dom short in flower now. And a less bushy snow lotus dom still vegin slow. They do vary abit, i agree. Could b a good production plant.

It does seem like it could be a good production plant, I think I will be quite happy with the yield, however I don't think it would be what commercial growers are looking for. At the end of the day if I get a decent yielding, nice tasting pheno of some dank indica I will be a happy man. :)

Will let you know how the smoke is when they are done.

Heres a quick pic of the bubba dom. Im starting to like it more as it goes. She has gained alot more coffee sweet smell. I dont really like the snow lotus dom pheno. Tall and all the branches shoot straight up the main stalk.

The bubba dom, very bushy and dark. Wide thick branches. I flowered wen it was only 12inches and it finished around 17 inches. I know, small. I got some better structured clones. And wanted to see the smoke.

Looks like this strain would do well in grows where height is an issue I've grown some real stretchers they can be a real pain I purposefully figured height into the room I'm putting together now whether I use it or not the option is nice it takes a little more room for my e&f set up

Had little strech with good production. It was small cuz i took clones and wanted to.see the flower bit went from 11 inches to 17. Real short.

Querkle so far has been my shortest I've never grown bubba or a cross of it but I've noticed that it has status of classic like white widow or jack herer neither of which I've grown either it pays to look around as there lately is a lot of new crosses available with little reliable information on the strain and/or the breeder that is what makes a journal like this so cool especially with an evaluation of the finished product I used to trip on yield but learned ( the hard way) that a bucket full of bud is no good if you're not proud of it I like that sparkle, smell& taste & a good high above all else looking forward to seeing how this turns out

Horribleherk I wouldn't be too confident that this strain will stay short. I popped 7 beans, got 5 females. 2 plants stayed short, one was medium height and the other two were what I would describe as tall. My tent is 2 metres high and I have the light as high as I can get it, if the 2 tall ones were any taller they would have been burned by the light.

The phenos vary quite substantially in productivity. The 2 which I have cut and jarred (one short and one medium height) only came up to around 2 ounces each, one was more like 1 and 3/4 ounces, and this is after a 5-6 week veg period. The short pheno which I am yet to cut I don't expect more than around 2 and a 1/2 ounces from. I should probably note at this point that I veg under 400w and flower under 600w.

I cut another pheno today which I expect will weigh in somewhere between 3 and 4 ounces. I will be taking another one down over the weekend which I expect similar weight from, possibly a little more. It is noteworthy that both of the production phenos for me were the tallest ones.

4/5 phenos were ready for harvest between 63 and 70 days of flower, it is purely my busy schedule which has meant a couple are being harvested a little later. One of the tall/heavy producing pheno's is going a bit longer and will probably be ripe between 77 and 80 days of flower.

I really really like the smoke of this strain. Despite the variation in yield, size and general grow characteristics, the two phenotypes I have sampled are remarkably similar in terms of smell, taste and effect. I would describe the buzz as a heady indica. It relaxes the body but also puts you in a really dreamy and relaxed head space, no racing thoughts whatsoever. I never really got how people could say cannabis helped them with anxiety problems until I sampled this strain. The smoke tastes really nice as well.

If the plant I cut today (day 72 of flower, I could have cut it at 65 days but I have been really busy) is similar in taste and effects to the phenotypes I have already sampled then it will be a keeper for me. This strain was an instant favourite of mine, I think the only strain I have ran which I prefer (and only slightly) is Kosher Kush. Although it must be said that Jabba's Stash cannot compete with my Kosher cut in the yield department. To be fair the Jabba's Stash is a fair bit easier to grow, my Kosher cut is a fussy bitch. By contrast I found Jabba's Stash to be an easy plant to grow, didn't run into a single problem with a single pheno for the entire grow.
