Snapped a few more pics this morning. I really love the way she is starting to dread/ foxtail out. Between locks and the multi coloredness she is f'n beautiful, yield should be pretty decent and I love the sweet soft smoke. Not only is she a looker but she has got it where It counts! More to come 1222150837.jpg 1222150838b.jpg 1222150838a.jpg 1222150838.jpg

I was just doing some reading and it appears Mr.Soul from Brothers Grimm is releasing a new Apollo next year. The original Genius X Vortex! Has anyone else heard this? Would love it if Sub could comment on this. I hope this is true!
i commented on one of mr soul's photos on Instagram about that he replied fast, saying it's true and that word spread fast lol he seemed surprised I mentioned it

so hyped i've been after genius phenos for a while i can't wait!!

It sounds like this genius is well named!?!
What make this strain special?
What will it bring to the vortex or what the vortex will bring to genius?

A Viet Sativa, is that seed or clone? I never grew anything like that before, what is it like? Taste etc?
They are from seed. They are super long flowering, months instead of weeks :), but worth it if you find the gem. Piney lemony taste very up high, motivating. Works awesome for edibles, laughing fits, etc. This 1 (which is from S. Vietnam over near Cambodia border) started flowering on me as soon as it was old enough due to me being less than 13 hrs of daylight whereas the other which is from bit further North (lower Central Highlands Vietnam) is still vegging and I expect it to for a few more months before it starts flowering.

I put this pic on Schluby I think. It's TGA grown in dirt and watered under a 250 watt HPS with a load of other plants nearby which are smaller. It's for comparison if anyone wonders about TGA strains, how they may grow, and what they look like in veg. These were all in paper towels on 10/10/2015. From left to right it is Mickey Kush, Querkle, and Deep Purple. Three-gallon and a one-gallon. Deep purple had to be forced to show sex. I figured it was male so I forced it, but it's going back in veg mode. I'll make some seeds on all of them with Dr Who pollen. I'm waiting for the balls to burst over glass and then I'll scrape it up with a razor. I've got a ten-pack of Apollo BX from TGA which I'm not running yet and two Vortex seeds left from three or four years ago. The prior plants live on in seed-cross forms. Crossed Vortex with 3D and Chemdawg IV. Very good crosses. image.jpeg

ugh you guys, enough with the seeds!!! jealous!!! i won't be able to pick any up until at least late january/early february. least i got a few cuts to run in the meantime. Jacks cleaner 2 is looking good right near 4.5wks. this one has very little stretch in flower it seems.... i put them in smaller thinking they were going to stretch more... but to my surprise they didn't! they smell like bubblegum right now... the double bubble bubble gum lol. my buddy said they get lemony later in flower.
Sorry about the seeds, bruh, but I'm 35 years deep into my weed-grow dreams and obsessions with growing weed that people always go, "WTF is this? Where is it from? Why does your Blue Dream and Cookies taste better than the MMJ club weed?" And the best ones are always, "I've never heard of that strain." As a teen I was accused of 'lacing' my joints with drugs! It was just strong weed and some people couldn't handle it. It's one of the best ways to truly "live well". As in, "The best revenge is living well." Sharing killer homegrown has been part of it for the entire time. I have friends who've never bought weed because I give.image.jpeg

the helper x querkle should be a really nice strain, on IG i believe sub posted something a little while ago saying the helper is martian mean green x super silver haze, so I'm very excited haven't seen phenos of martian mean green in my area in over 5 years

plus the querkle influence will be great I'm sure, all of them are above ground and have opened up now, yesterday a lot of leaves were still attached to their seed and not unfolded

they are doing great I'm so excited :)

beautiful pics @Velvet Elvis !

everyone have a great day!!
Do you guys use Seedfinder.eu? It's got almost every strain known to man and is the best resource I've found to research what strains come from which other strains.

I really have to take exemple on you and start making my own seeds next outdoor grow...
2/3 different male from reg seeds cross with 6/7 female from fem seeds cuts!
Is there going to be a difference if I use lower branches or top buds...or is it just a difference in seeds size...
And is it easier and of course safer for the plants around to apply pollen with a wet brush (small thing to paint) and wet the bud before too...moist not wet sorry...is it the good way...and I will have to keep the pollen for 2/3 month...where do I keep it? In the fridge?
Thanks

Lower branches work great.
