Time to flush - or a little too early? I feel stupid.

Hi guys,

It having been ages, years, since my last grow, and this being a mystery seed, I'm feeling so so stupid. I can't judge my plants "well enough" at this point (Day 58 ), beginning of week 9. So I thought, what do you guys think? It is said that flushing for 14 days should not be started before the plant already could be harvested immediately otherwise. Well, all help, even guesses are welcome. BTW, if my eyes serve me properly, I think the trichs are becoming a little cloudy but I don't have a proper way of seeing them. Here are some pics, bad camera through cheap glasses lol.

Yours, Tomas

No need to flush as such just feed plain water for the last 2 weeks and you'll be fine
I know the photos are not the best possible, more of earlier phases in my ongoing journal if you wanna take a look.
Just wondering, if two more weeks is enough.. - Tom

Isn't that what flushing is?
Well I thought flushing was giving your roots more water than normal, I usually carry my plant to the bath and run the shower over the soil till the pot fills with water then let it drain for 30 mins in the bath then put her back in the grow room??? If you give the plant the normal amount of water say 5 litres it's drinking all that not washing your nutrients away hence the name flushing!

Strain depending it could change a whole lot in 2 weeks one thing I did was reduce the amount of light my plant received my 10 mins every 3 days.

No, dude, flushing just refers to cutting out your nutrients a week or so before you harvest, running on just water, in order to 'use up' all the stored nutrients and remove the 'chemical taste.'

There are two schools of thought here, one says it's a must, the other says it's stupid to cut out nutrients at the most vital time in your flowers life, and, if your weed tastes funky it's because you didn't dry and cure it well.

Good to know! I might give nutrients till week 8 this time round and see if it tastes different!

Flushing is like use getting a IV and cleaning our body - well flushing washes out the nutrients the plant has not used; if one doesn't flush your end product will not have the taste like it should, you don't want to taste chemicals you used - There are different schools of thought - but flushing does help bring out taste - Flushing and Defoliation you willl find have 2 schools of thought - to do or not to do-. If confused (do a side by side test) flush one plant and don't flush one plant - and you will taste the diference

Aside from the flushing debate, your plants are nice, there is still lots of white pistils around the buds, these will recede inside the buds, the rest will turn amber, the buds will fatten up. If you do get a decent magnifier wait until yor triches are mostly all cloudy with some amber. Now, if you follow this, and I think we can agree on this, you will have some very good smoke.
Good Luck, enjoy

Yeah, this is the plan. This is all quite familiar, even this doubt and almost brushing too much at this stage lol :p

As far as I can see (which is quite well, with a magnifier as help), the trichs are getting some cloudiness, which means I'll just water-feed the bugger for ca. 14-21 days more - Today is day 60 (and no, not getting too hung up on numbers or "norms"), and this mystery strain seems to want a little more time than the usual indoor pals of ours. Oh, and it's just one plant.

Interesting how "afro" this bud is turning out, lol..

EDIT: Oh BTW, just for the heck of it, I'm now from this day on gonna give 15mins more darkness with a couple of days interval, fool it into thinking it's time to finish. Who knows, it might do something. Just gonna have to test myself to the end with this one..

If using clear water is considered flushing then I flush every time I water!
Dumping excess amounts of water into the pot can effect the roots in a bad way and should only be done if you really screwed up by over feeding.
Less is more with weeds! I have found that the more I ignore my plants the better they do.

No offense intended here, but that could simply mean everything YOU do is wrong. hahaha ;)
