Shouldn't when? When you're buying straight from the farmer? Throw in a buck for a middle man and 50 cents to a buck per unit for the driver and your at $1350-$1400.

You cant pay for water, feed. soil, pest management, security and just your personal time in care, harvest and trimming for a pound of tomatoes, now throw in some electric bills. It's crap like this just like a thread in the legalization forum about legal to grow illegal to sell. I feel sorry for the folks that can't grow there own and the farmer who can't afford to grow it. Funny thing is, supply and demand will always work it's self out. Maybe we all prefer Big Government just grow all our weed ?
