Right. Therefore there were laws in place HC had to follow.
Then, our buddy Steve decided to create a whole new program and change the laws.

The CPC then gave HC clear marching orders based on their new policy.

HC followed the laws and directives of the CPC gov. HC didn't make the rules, they followed them until some a holes changed it up on you.

So yes, HC got up Tuesday morning and realized they'd need to make more changes to the mj file under a new gov.
Exactly!

I'm sure they were not implying that the "outraged" Rona still works for Health Canada?

Whatever...it's going to take as long as they want it to take...we have had a medical program in this country for how many fucking years yet it's going to take some time to iron the bugs out...fuck off really?

The civil service will have to consult with stakeholders, gather evidence, run through various scenarios, debate pros and cons, determine cost and benefits, identify risks, change and replace certain laws and regulations (e.g. Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) understand international and provincial/territorial implications and finally get approval from the Minister, Cabinet and Prime Minister – and if new legislation is being proposed, a vote will be required in the House of Commons.

Doesn't sound like anyone is in a hurry here...

We all wish JT had a magic pen to enact new laws but unfortunately he doesn't. Canada, being one of the most revered democracies in the world, has policies and procedures for enacting new legislation.

Unfortunately, as were all aware, democratic procedures can be frustratingly slow at times. One would think that because legalization of MJ was the Liberals very first policy platform they announced, one would hope they have a plan to at least fast track it thru the Majority they now hold.

I'd like to believe those very same things....after this many years of prohibition it shouldn't take any time at all given the pulse of the modern world...

This is why I would like to see a moratorium on mj related charges with the exception of trafficking.

If it were to happen, we would all know this gov is serious. We would also know bootlegging will be treated seriously.
Fair enough to me.

A moratorium could turn into the wild West, without clear and decisive plan/timeline laid out before hand. I think I read somewhere of JT mentioning something about expunging criminal records for simple possession charges? I'll try and dig that up.

who promised the lps an open rec market.?
maybe a new wave of producers is needed to carry out the rec, market..
after all us patients were a good enough market model before right?
SO make the first 26 producers supply only medical....
and open up rec to some of those licences that got turned down in the first round.....
like mom and pop operations.....

Would love to see some links to all these backdoor deals? I have seen the one report of the Lib's campaign CFO having a stake in Tweedle...announced quite publicly if I remember correctly. One publicly transparent report, does not constitute a back door deal....IMO!

I have no idea? Please, enlighten me on how they obtained their LP via the Lib's? Considering Stevie was in power when they were licensed, I don't see a Lib connection?
