You aren't asking for advise your telling me what you think is right ... What do you need help with?
Dudes on the rollitup drop a few seeds and if they don't die they become insta grow experts espousing the skill they read in a post here. Kills me how people think there is only one method and one outcome. I've broken many a fable argued here. And it worked out just fine for me.

It's been getting a lot worse . I only stick around because I wouldn't be where I am today without the help from the good people here

fair point fellow, this is your thread and can we agree that we disagree and not to discuss yield anymore on both Threads :)

thanks for offering help, maybe one day I will take you up on it, but I limit my grows to dirt and topping, lst and selective trimming fan leaves/shoots.
keep to bio buzz fish mix, bloom and Epson salts, only used hps/mh for flowering and only know the basics when it comes to hydro
only grown a few different strains from seed, and kept it perpetual for a year or two

just want to master training the plants in dirt and flowering under hps and mh,
so I have spent years learning how to make the best use of the light, light perpetration, canopy shape and training the plants
so i can master that way of growing

at the moment I am testing what I have learn t by vegging 4 plants under 40w of t'5, re pot and one week to settle in under the 600w and flower.
the test is to see if i can fill the hole room and pull a good crop

your standing by your friend and I get that, but the thing about power in numbers you got wrong fellow, I have been a grower for over 10 years and I try my best to give growers the best advice I can. I was being honest on another thread and defending the OP agents Carolina Dream'n post of spend 250,000 on a commercial setup
and then he said about the 3 lbs per 1kw light and I didn't want the OP thinking he could spend 50,000 and pull 3 lbs per light and then patrickkawi37 and a few others jumped in took the piss and called me names, I have not called patrickkawi37 a single name, just trying to help a follow grower.
Keep my name out ya mouth.

You sitting here and telling me what to do, yet you've been growing for 10 years, still don't understand how to train a plant or any general understanding of hydroponics...You veg under 40 watts and use a 600 to flower and your telling me what to do? Get the fuck outta here.
You've blasted your ignorance all over this forum, stop while you still have some self respect. Or at least don't involve me in it in any way.

yes at this point in time I am only doing a small grow, never said I was doing a large grow now, I said i did a large perpetual grow for 3 years
look back on the other thread,

you talk to me about ignorance but your not saying anything about how you grow your plants to hit the yield, flower time, strain, how many seeds did you go through to get the right phoneo type.

do you buy all the clones or how does the setup work, 5,000 clones is a lot, (100 clones per light)
how do you grow them all under (6 8 bulb t5)

I can rip your setup apart as I know what i am talking about

Because I've gone over it so many times. Buts here's one last one.

I searched through I think 18 different phenos types of humbolt seed orginizations blue dream. Found my keeper (this was over 6 years ago)
Keep 2 mother plants (same pheno) in 50 gallon pots, each under their own 315w CMH. I'll take 400 clones off 1 every 2 weeks. The other plant 2 weeks later. Gives them a month of recovery.
Clones are rooted in rockwool or turnoklone 144s. Which ever I feel like doing. 10 days for roots and ready to go into 3 in rockwool for 4 days under 8 bulb t5s. I'll then take the best 360 to the veg room which is 4 1000 watt DEs. Veg for a week. Topping once.

300 Plants then going into a 12k flower room, 25 per light. In 5 gallon pots with promix, perlite, oyster shell flour and worm casting. Trellis net goes up day one. Plant are trained to grow horizontally and allows bottom growth to catch up. I stop training around day 18. Lollipop on day 21. Harvest around day 60. Each plant will pull around 1.5 to 2 oz a piece.

It's not hard to do.

now that makes a lot of sense( not sure about 1.5 to 2 oz a piece) but yer you setup sounds good

no just want to agree to disagree mate and put an end to it
The guy they taught me has been growing 15 years and best he's ever pulled is 1.3ps per light. Some people suck at growing. Some people have old school techniques that they are too proud to change.
This isn't 1999 anymore . If you live in California, and you aren't getting 1.5 per lamp..you are out turnin tricks to pay the light bill . 2+ is the only way to get by not living paycheck to paycheck. 3 pounds per light with blue dream doesn't even get you a high 5 where I'm from . It makes you average

With 6 plants under 4 lights your going to want to get them nice and bushy . Those are good high yielding strains. Top them a bunch and train them to bush rather than grow upwards . I suggest 15-20 gallon containers . What medium are you growing in?
I'm useing roots organics soil, in the big bags.... the bags are a little bigger than a 5 gallon bucket. I plan to put the best two bubblegum and the best two blue dream under my lights and let the others just do as they will... basically I'm going to focus on 4 plants... I plan to lst .... my problem is I'm restricted for height.... I have lights , the grow bags and that leaves me with about 3 to 4 feet that my plants can grow in

Sorry guys I'll take my questions elsewhere.... lots of disagreement here.... Patrick I would be thankful if u chimed in on my post.... would love to see what advice you have to gain so much yield.... I'm only getting .5 a gram per watt .... post will be called 2nd grow looking for advice.... I'll post it in newb section

You can post it here. Your problem is trying to keep those plants as short as you can.. I imagine you don't want to grow more plants.. That would be your easiest solution ..

With 4 plants you need to get bigger pots than a 5 gallon . I would try 15-20 gallon pots. This will make the plant bush more and you can train it easier to not grow vertical. I would try to build a cage / scrog type thing with netting and some stakes .. Use the netting to train them down , and keep topping . You should be able to pull 4 pounds out of there .

Also make sure your watching your run off ppm and not using too much nutrients . People tend to lock out plants in soil . Make sure the pots get nice and dry before watering again up until week 2-3 of flower
