what makes ya say that? I've always heard the opposite...that landraces will be the most stable in the terms of resistance to molds, hermies, and stress. That the crap shoot is more the stuff breeders select for ie yeild, potency, smells etc. at least that's been my understanding. I dont expect to see many phenos other, as landraces should be pretty inbred already.

hey guys,

I have a question for you all. Obviously we are all growers, and we all kinda understand (I hope anyway) that we are taking a gamble every time we plant a seed, or make a clone, or flower a plant out. Rippers, police, DEA weather pests etc can all take our work and zero it out. What I am curious about, how many of you out there are financially dependent on the garden? How many are using the plant to achieve a better life? What are your concept/ideas on how to achieve the "American Dream" using cannabis? I mean, I am damn near 30 years old, have no credit, and am just as far away from buying a house as I was at 18. I keep chugging, thinking man, just one good outdoor harvest or just a few more indoors, and I can achieve some lasting rewards. Somedays it feels like a pipe dream, and sometimes it feels so close I can damn near taste it. IDK if I am just out of touch, practicing bad habits, or what, but the dream of homeownership seems so much harder to achieve nowadays. I guess what I am asking, whats working for you guys? What are your plans on stepping on life? I know I am tired of asking a landlord permission for a dog, to build, change, paint, or be forced to move etc. Anyway, end rant!

It's definitely always a gamble so many variables can make it all disappear. I'm 22 years old and I really want to start building credit this coming year to buy a house. I've renting for 3 years. I work for a tree service and do my own work on the side when i can find it. I'm not financially dependent on the garden, but it's the only time I can really get ahead of the bills besides tax season. I try to progress and do better every year..like buying tools and equipment I can make money with but I really would like to buy a house in the next 5 years. I just need to build my credit and save money for a down payment. Growing weed is awesome though...I love it. I've done an outdoor crop every year since I was 16.

You'll get there though man just keep working hard. It would be badass to own your own property. I feel the same way like next year this will happen then it usually doesn't lol but yeah I'm a little younger but I feel the same way.

yep that looks like good ol BT. Is that the premixed or concentrated stuff? I prefer concentrated, just so that it lasts longer and can go in my sprayer.
As long as you spray min every 3 weeks, any worms that eat it will stop eating, growing, and die. Get a good spray in asap!
Yeah it's concentrated. I'm going to soak them down tomorrow night. The cheese and a couple others are just starting to flower.

Stable in terms of genetics expressed. But the ones I've seen wanted to flower right away as far as light and being rootbound goes. And they were indica, maybe the sativas wouldn't be as sensitive being from a more tropical/equatorial region. It also would make sense to respond to environment quicker, could mean a better survival rate. Speculation really. I don't have a whole lot of experience with pure landrace strains.

yea I don't think many growers really do anymore, landrace genetics are definitely not the norm. Nowadays the genetics available are mostly polyhybrids, and very few breeders seem to really work a line, so I am excited to see how they do, but they are definitely "testers"

dude its not about the "big dirty" its about finding a niche and working it . or just planting 300 plants and using that money to fuel a real bussiness . unless growing annuals is what you really want to do .

when i decided to pursue growing annuals as a job i made it my job . so we sold at the farmers markets real veggies. its fucking hard to make it like that for 4$ a lbs tomaters but folks do good at it an so did we .
long story short i quit the farmers market cuz running a trim crew seemed fun again . cannabis's profit margins seem GREAT again and the freedom to make my own hours is worth only driving a 06 and not a 2015...lol...we make about 56 take home my ssalary is 70 the collective does ok. but i would make ALOT more in a resturant so we are taking the cannabis collective moving it to another farm and growing food again for our resturant opening in january (we hope) TO TRY another path , while also still being involed with the growing ...

yea I am not greedy, dont need a mansion rather have a nice cabin I poured my own sweat into. my end all mission in life is to be as self sufficient as possible...own my land, farm my fruits and veggies, raise livestock, grow this herb I love, and try to enjoy life simply. I don't think man went right getting into the current status quo, and I don't care to be in the rat race.

put down some seeds from @DLOPEZ1420

Grape Who
Snow White
sour lady
plushberry x dr.who
ace of spades x dr.who

I am going seed crazy right now, but I am looking for some new fire in my jars, and a wide variety to find the top top winners. I been debating maybe keeping my 5x9 tent and just using it to veg/mothers
