I have checked his video on another forum,I know he is trying to post everywhere on Internet ,the only thing I can say is thank you real styles
Sorry Sara but Mars II lights don't compare to Vero or Cree COB's as well as the Meanwell drivers. You don't even know how to grow and suggest lights for people. You guys don't even know what umols your lights produce. Hell my DIY panels at 930 watts out perform 2 1600's and a 1200 Mars II. They work but not how I need them too and one day people will see like I did. I'm going to the Max Yield Indoor Expo 2015 Long Beach on July 25th. I'm thinking of selling lights just to compete with Mars. Actually out sell Mars which wouldn't be a problem. I have already sold a few panels locally and I'm in California so think about it. REAL TALK.

damn bruh...i was just about to buy a shitload of mars2 1600w and thought...let me check around again...using as 1k replacement...i dont play when it comes to my quality....these things aint hittin???? low quality bud???low yield??? malfunctioning equipment??? what is their crime??? if each 0ne dont bang in a 4x4 area flowering, i dont want them...thought i could replace hps hid so i could cut down on air conditioner and heavy venting needs=co2 loss +higher power bills....im VERY commercial, and everything i see about leds is closet type stuff....fuck wit the streets bruh

anyone have a red/blue light panel setup? thinking of getting a few from china for finishing and babies.
got 2 red emphasized panels from ebay a year ago, still working.
got 2 blue emphasized panels from ebay this year, also working well.
them ebay panels is the china stuff. they do a sufficient job,in my eyes they do not disappoint.especially considering the price

Hello guys! I'm kinda new to LED technology and my purpose is to build my own LED panel with 150W output.

I've got 4 main questions:

1) How many bands should I use for efficient growing performance? My main purpose is to grow marijuana but I want to have versatile LED-panel to be able to grow other plants.

2) If I need to use more than 4 bands in my LED-panel - what's the most effective combination of LEDs for me?

3) What's better to use more LEDs of low power (e.g. 150x1W) or less LEDs but more powerful (e.g. 50x3W)???

4) How much do the Lens increase growing productivity and can please give me some essential sources of information about the Lens.

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Cree 3070/3590 and Vero 29 are most popular here.
They're full spectrum cobs that can take quite a high current.(no different bands needed anymore)

Checkout Realstyles his thread for reference

Though he made a 400Watt panel, it's really easy to just use another driver with less cobs.

First of all, thanks for reply!
You have opened a whole new world for me, lol
Now I have extra question:
I see that maximum power of one CXA3590 is 150W, does it mean that it's ok to use just one cob in the cabinet with this sizing: 40" Tall x 20" Wide x 16" Deep?

P.S. I have found a trusted suplier here in Kiev, Ukraine, which is selling both CXA3070 (3000k and 5000k) and CXA3590. They are running a sale right now, so it's possible to buy these COBs for really low price (about 30$ for 3070 and 45$ for 3590). Unfortunetly they don't have proper website and don't provide shipping, but if anyone here is interested in getting them, than i could help. It will be my payment for help i received here.

Bonjour
You could have the cxB for the same price if you want! They are better.
@REALSTYLES could you please tell me what do you call a high yield? And are you going to share with us your trip to this expo in long beach and told us who win (maybe you???)
Have a great day★

As lj mentioned the cxb3590s are more efficient. In your space using 1cob would work but using 2 and using less current, speading the light and improving the efficiency would likely be better.

Bonjour
Thank you for the fast reply...I was thinking now, , with cob, it is more 1.5/2gr/w, no? (2 it is for hydro, in soil it must be very hard to reach)
And have fun at the expo, you are a lucky guy (there's no expo in France. )

Can you point me to a journal with 2 g/w please? The highest I've seen is 1.7 but that was with 2 months of veg. I usually see between .8-1.2 g/w the lower side usually being when people first start using cobs, the higher side when they're more dialed in. But I obviously haven't seen all the grow journals out there.

Have a great day ★

Sure, I would like to see it. I understand some French, please link it. I'm excited to see someone owning with LEDs
Edit: I meant that I'm excited to see someone owning harder than everyone else, since there are a lot of people already owning with LEDs

Love my 150w platinum led! Runs cooler than my hps. It has a veg and bloom setting, when both switches are on it is only using 100 watts of electricity. It has given me reliable service with better results than my hps cabinet.
