DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

oh risky wtf man 1l to 208 liters? way to stong man just add 1 mll per liter every 3 days champ and i would change ur res ever 5 days 1 l to 208 liters of res is way to stong i think

Yeah I tried the 1 mL per liter 2 mL per liter didn't work not with this stuff. the only thing that actually stopped it for more than two days was 1000 mL per my 55 gallon re. plants didn't love it but they did start drinking water again and I pulled of two crops that way, but like I said before I'm tired of treating it, I want to cure it and hopefully this tea is the answer to that!

Im using full cyco line for the first grow and ive had 1-2 issues and the BEGGININGS of this brown slim in my control res BUT since i started adding 1ml H202 per Liter ever 3 days the slime is gone water looking pristine one thing i have noticed with cyco tho is it goes (for lack of a better word) "funny" lol i took a sample of my res into the hydro guru and he said nothing abnormal treeat with peroxide and monitor.

if H202 is not working for u flip back to page one and follow Hiesenbergs recipe to the dot from what ive read in this god forsaken 195 page thread lol is it fucking works PERIOD

I intend to add no h202 next grow and just use this tea and we shall see

Good luck and keep it green

ooooo dont forget if ur using the tea DO NOT USE H202 u will kill dem beenies

Thanks bro, it's weird I did my very first hydro grows with advanced and never had any issues, is there something wrong with cyco or just the timing of it?? Who knows

Ok i was speaking to a cyco tech tonight actualy he said if your having PPM issues drop silica and uptake as its not needed in RDWC or DWC might help stabilize it and it will lower ur ppm less is more in DWC
Goodluck smoke it green

I actually am using an ebb and flow system currently not a dwc. So i just sterilized my veg system and added my new clones 3 days ago and this is what I see in my resivoir

drain to waste is a wonderful way to waste 7x the amount of nutrients as a normal person haha. Not to mention it defeats the purpose of ebb and flow and using lava rocks, thanks though

im not sure if this applys to this thread but i have a quick question, just got my clones rooted far enuff to start feeding and switched from ph'd tap water to distilled water with fox farm nutes (week one feeding which is grow big and big bloom ) 1/4 strength.... my roots were snow white when in the plain clear water this morning when i switched the res. the big bloom is brown so obviously when mixed with water it gives the water a brown tint , now my roots have a brownish tint where the water comes up to , water is fresh im growing in dwc , and my res was scrubbed before i filled it and added my nutes, is this just the water staining my roots i mean theres no way id get root rot that fast right? and if this is the case how will i be able to identify root rot if it does occur by the way i also switched to distilled water my ph is around 6 or slightly under. i have 7 gallons of water and have 2 12 inch airstones on a dual pump and 1 ten inch airstone on a one line pump

Did you try z7 water treatment? I had real bad slime. It would start with the clear jelly stuff that would then turn brown.

I tried everything I could fine to cure it. H2O2 would clear it for a little while and then it would come back.

Now I add z7 and I have not seen any slime at all from the first time I used it.

I run DWC with temps around 78f. I do not know anyone at z7....

Heisenberg I'm looking to use your tea in an ebb flow 5 gal bucket system with 33 gal res. shearly to prevent any problems. My questions are 1. You say the Aqua shield and Zho can both be replaced with the fungi perfecti myco soluble . How much of this would I add to brew 1 gallon of tea? How much molasses? And how much ancient forest? 2. How much tea would I need to add to my 33 gal Rez and how often? Much thanks in advance I read about 30 pages and couldn't find the answer. Thanks again!

I'm guessing a tsp of myco, 1/2 tsp molasses, 1/2 cup ancient forest in 1 gal to water. Then adding 3 cups of the tea once a week between Rez changes. Does that sound about right?

OK,
I am about to start my 3rd run in a week.
My first run was top feed drip into grow stones.
4 plants with some root issues... (heat) still yeilded 7.25 ounces.

Second run was RDWC but heat issues got my roots again, but 3 plants yielded 5.5 ounces.

This run,
I am running 2 plants and have the heat issues fixed.

I have been using AquaShield but I think I could GREATLY benefit from this tea.
I grow for personal use and my wife needs it for medicine for nausea, and me... well, just recreational ;-)

I have read the first 25 pages and I see that we are at 196 now.
Is the original recipe still the same or have there been improvements/changes to this over the course of this thread?

I am just too old and tired to read it all...
Little help here please ???
Thanks !
