As im new to this method i just wanna know how my ladies are doing also ADVICE! Ill take it all...

I'm on my second grow in dwc and I'm only doing 2 but yeah I normally still have mine in the hydrodome at this point! I think they look good. When I first transplant mine into the net pot I run my water 2 holes up on the net pot so I know they are getting water. Once my roots shoot down through then I lower the water to just below the net pot. My advice is be patient, I don't think the humidity is critical at this point.

Hmmmm yeah maybe i should have a dome i germinated them right in the bucket out of rapid rooters... And yeah i had the water levels there the first week just dropped it sunday on the change, and thanks man just wanted to get another set of eyes on them for reasurance patience is the biggest part of this lol... Im gonna try one more humidifier thatll make 3 hopefully that can get it up there

Dont go buy one til mid veg man. Your doing good, just let em go for a week. Ur ph should be good and how much nutes are u running?? At that size I run 1/4 nutes once I get roots coming strong ill run bout half strength

Thanks man! And im giving them 2 ml per litre the recommended is 4 ml per litre so im half strength and my ph is 5.5-5.9 i check it periodically every day

Your golden once the roots ate multiplying from the net pot bump your nutes up to 3/4 strength!!!

What is 2ml per liter come out to be? Do you have a ppm/ec meter? Or do you atleast know the target EC that you are half strengthing?

Why are you running a 1000w MH? Is electricity free where you come from?

I run 104w of t5ho and even thats probably too much, but its all I got.

You also dont want to transfer them directly to the big pots. Wait till they have a good bit of roots coming out the bottom of your starter plug or rockwool or whatever you started the seeds in.

Hey man the 2 ml per litre comes out too 26ml of sensi grow a and 26 ml of sensi grow part b, they recommend you use 4 ml per litre so i went half strength to start... And i have been using ph strips but reading your reply im actually on the way to the hydro store to get one of those meters( can you tell im a noob lol?) and i have the 1000w just cause ive heard you get best yields out of the1000w i have a hps bulb aswell, shit i even have 2 light set ups but on my test run the tent shot up to 130f so i was like yeah the 1 will be cool, as for the electricity ill pay a bit more if it gets me results next grow i was gonna grab the kind xl1000 led... And yeah man im getting a hydrdome at the shop now too ill def take that advice next grow, i just hope i havnt messed them up too bad...

You need a meter. Its like trying to call up a friend and then muting them and trying to understand what they are saying.

Until you report back those spots could be anything. I have seen those spots before on my plants, definitely not light burn.

Get a 2 tube 2ft t5ho for your seedlings. thats 52w. More than enough for seedlings.

52w x 18 x 30 = 28.08kwh at end of month x $.17 per kwh = $4.76
1000w x 18 x 30 = 540kwh at end of month x $.17 per kwh = $91.80

You will want the 1000w once they are bigger, but for now its a waste of money as you can see from the math above.

I grow beast plants under 104w in veg. I bust out my 600w HPS for flower.

Hey man I veg under a 600w hps and flower under a 1000w hps my bill sucks but my yields cover it ten fold

Youre missing tbe point. The point being thebplant isnt going to be larger at thisbstagr with a 1000w vs 50w.

I can get my 100w inches from my plant. This 1000w isnprobably 30 inches above his plants. I bet you the 100w is giving up more lumens. And consider this 1000w being air cooled knocks 10-15% of the lumens right there.

So argue some more about why using a 1000w on seedlings is a good idea. Fucking stupid.

Yeah man thats why i decided to go with the 1000w i dont mind the extra cost as long as im rewarded( i also should have mentioned its a dimmable ballast so i started it at 50% and since bumped it too 75% my next grow im going with kind leds and the 1000 at a lower setting

Dimmable ballasts are a gimmick.

Its harmful to the lamp.to run it at any wattage different than what the lamp runs on.

But good luck to you. Im done in here. Youre beyond help.

I got the ppm meter you
were talking about and im growing rare dankness and
on their faq page the have their suggested charts for nutes they suggest starting at 300 and maxing at 1000 before flipping to flower, i dialed that ballast down too 50% lets me turn the ac off aswell cause the heats not bad, when it was turned up i had it 12 inches off the plants( the ac i have is pretty powerful during the test i had 2 1000w 1 hps and 1 mh but it put the heat up too much too 90f... I dont mind the extra cost for electricity i totally get what youre saying tho about it being a waste tho like it makes sense but ihave 1000 w only and they are both dimmable so you think 50% would be a better idea tho? Like im saving for the led so i dont wanna start buying t5s id rather save for that led and maybe even scrap the hids altogether next grow tho ill def be taking your advice on the dome etc i picked it all up lastnight, also do you think id benifit much from adding big bud and overdrive rare dankness also suggests that( but shit they prob got paid to put that up)???

I was not aware that dimmable ballasts are a gimmick or that it was harmfull, im just learning so obviously there will be learning curves im not perfect i thank you very much for your advice and im listening too what youre saying
