your having heat issues? i have a CLW 220 and for flowering it says to put light 12 inches form top, and it seems every time i move the light closer than 1.5ft (18inches) my plants show some heat stress.

same here, same light. I set it 24 Inches above soil for veg, and when plants are 12 inches flip and raise light. Same here, any closer and it starts to bleach the leaves.

veg height is recommended to be a lot higher, around 4-5ft is what i read. i vegged them with the light 3ft about (36in) and now I'm in flower at 18in and I'm about to raise to 24in cuz the majority are showing heat stress.

mine don't get bleached tips...the leafs on mine start to get brittle and deform shape a little...just to make sure its not a nutes block or too much nuts I'm going to do a FF Sledgehammer flush, which you are supposed to do between veg and flower but i didn't do it...but my ph has always been 6.5 after adding nutes ... i had the same problem in veg also with the heat..i had light to close and leafs got brittle and wilted, i raised the light and my problems went away until now when i put them into flower and lowered the light again

well, not exactly the way I interpret it. Veg needs less intensity, so you can get away with raising the light and covering more. Flower needs more intensity, so the light needs to be lowered. Most light is lost just in distance.

Doubt anything you call "heat stress" has anything to do with your led. My experience is 12 inches is too close and causes bleaching. Not sure what the problem is with bleaching. Who knows? Maybe it is good.

I'm just an old soil grower and we always say, "Good plants grow good pot."

I'm pretty sure its something from the led maybe not heat stress ... cuz i had it real close in early veg and same thing happened, and when i raised the light the problem went away (was also using no nutes at that time) ....maybe they just need to get used to having the light close..light is about 15inch from top and they are not getting any worse so I'm going to leave the light and also like i said in other post, right b4 i did 12/12 i was supposed to flush and i didn't . i think a couple have too much nitrogen so I'm going to adjust as needed. also going from 12in to 18in the par rating is more than cut in half at least with the CLW models. and yo what height do u put your led/led's for flowering and what led/led's are you using?
