Ya if you are planning on running at 1400mA and cannot get CXA3070 3K AB bin, then I would recommend the Vero29 3K as the next best choice. If you are in no hurry, there are new Veros and new CXBs coming out.
Could you run those Vero 29s at 700 mA and still work good and efficient? It's hard to find AB bins.

Lol that would be interesting on a riu LED party.

Veg mode : on
Different stages in veg. Planning on covering 8x6 with 8 plants.

Lately I've been doing four tranplants per plant. 1gallon to 3g to 5-7g for veg, then 20-30 gallons for flower. Got the idea in the ROLS section, rhizosphere more likely to get infected / innoculated by the mychroizzal as long as it's applied every transplant(which can take months).

Bigger pots = less problems (more room for error correction),= bigger yummier ORGANIC fruits !!!!

@Blakhash I had the same question boss. Heres a quote from @SupraSPL to help me when asked about dimmers. "I recommend the AC constant current drivers, they get it done in one step very efficiently. I do like dimmability in general though, could come in very handy especially in veg. I recommend the Mean Well HLG series for those who want/need dimmable setups."

What is the release date on cxb?? any idea? I may just pop a 3 light bar off for supplemental, then move over to the newer ones and hand down the less efficient one to some locals here who could use it lol. I could save some money on this build if they arent far out. like more then a month out is far out mannnnnn lol jk. It seems I may be stuck w the 29's? I will keep looking for the 3070ab for the next few days. I may just pop a rail of 3 off for a test on the v29 if better tech is coming out soon. I at least need some supplemental for the mars. Any one have a site or list of good reliable sites to find materials. If a list hasnt been compiled Thatd be supper helpful!

The cbx i FOund were not cheap and came with reflectors, Acrylic white @SupraSPL for your reflector tests.

@churchhaze

Thatd be nice get free set of drivers basically. He said the the mean well series looking at that now I think it was 1400 mA supra told me.

There is just a slight variation in the model number, it has an H b4 the bin and 30"g" at the end. I dont see that On the data sheet I pulled it showed ab at top bin, maybe I am looking at outdated info? the link I posted is data sheet i pulled. I didnt see it on digi. IT costs less :DD is it really as good or better?

Ohh shit thats cxb, time to start reading http://www.cree.com/LED-Components-and-Modules/Products/XLamp/Arrays-NonDirectional/XLamp-CXB3070 data sheet says top 2 bins could beat the cxa?!?!?! at less cost??? there has to be somthing else lol HEAT maybe? any one know? I Think maybe supra was refering to this piece of cool info, but idk.

Ahh they are the same thing.

One up? ship date estamate was 3-11 when i pumped number in if they are accurate they are expecting stock sooooon.
I can get a data sheet at the voltage and amp. 72v @ 12k-18k amp or 32v @ 24k-36k for drivers, any reccomendations?
Supra could you post a curve for this light vs the cxa. Link to sheet
I can understand these charts now lol. ITs funny, 2 days ago, I knew nothing about cobs. 11500 lumens output is bad as fuck compared to what I was looking at w 9k lumens. ITs top binn too. I contacted digi, they said the shippment is set to be recieved the 11 of march and when I place my order they can contact cree to make sure lead times arent being pushed out. Lastly, they dont charge me till it shipps. This REALLY MIGHT BE THE WINNER! I am guissing ill need a Bad ass heat sink. Wanna start on drivers and sinks now lol. Thanks church how do I add rep?

I am thinking The cbx but 3070 or 3590? @SupraSPL Could you help me run the numbers and let me know the best efficiency and amp? if I should maybe use the HGl-600 by mean well and run all of them? or what youd recommend on setup. I was thinking 3 rails with two lights or or 2 lights with 3 rails. pls recommend dimmable and not? I may buy the cheap version then get dimmable. Being new stronger version. The dimmable is a huge plus for testing. I will then find some sick heat sink! Thanks all!

Still working analyzing the datasheets. Have to re-do all the tedious parts, pixel counting the Vf curve and droop curves for both CXB3070 and CXB3590 at each common current drive level. In short, the numbers are awesome :)

Same recommendations as far as drive currents

CXA3070 3K AB at 1.4A (52W) 43.3% $1.77/PAR W (aliex)
CXB3070 3K AB at 1.4A (50W) 45.4% $2.03/PAR W (digikey)
CXB3590 3K CB at 0.7A (49W) 51.7% $2.38/PAR W (digikey) (dang! :joint:)

You could run 4 CXB3070s at 1.4A on the HLG-185H-C1400 or
you could run 4 CXB3590s at 0.7A on the HLG-185H-C700

perfect match for our favorite drivers :leaf: makes you wonder if Cree is watching

It'll certainly be lower 30's which is great. May I ask for how much are you getting your Z2's?
I went with Cree PCT and LER 323lm/w with Tj 50°C (I doubt it will much lower @75W dissipation). I also used minimal value and I believe @SupraSPL goes with typical (halfway to the next higher bin).
:o 50% efficiency.... That's just crazy talk my friend.... Either way I have a friend whose gonna sell me some z2's for 25 a piece, soooo for that price that'll hold me Over and I can just be late to the party lol:bigjoint:

Just to make sure I got this right its AxV=W so if i am running 3 lights that would be a higher w per led, right? That would push up lumens and dropp the efficiency rating a lil. but if You had suggested 3 before, would putting 3 on that driver just increase the wattage per light? I would say since i could bump the wattage down, itd be safe to error on the side of less efficiency at top and dimmed to most efficient setting, right? if so I may run 2 bars at 3 lights each. I am confident thatd blow my mars out the universe lol.
Maybe they run on the same drivers cause they are fromn the same line of devs, and they are jsut pushing the lumens or par output. should I add a few reds in there? I was thinking if not enough uvb I can get reptile tubes from store and add too. You could make a b.a. fixture man. hella cheap
