What is it with some of you guys who feel the need to label everyone, I can't keep up with all these terms so what is a progressive socialist, is it like a neo-commie?
My point is, If the Bible is so important in the lives of these people why don't they from a moral and religious standpoint also deny service to adulterers ?
You say this is because they can't be identified, that's true but why aren't they vocal about it at least, reason being is that they don't give a shit, they just want an enemy, the fucked up religious doctrine they swallow teaches them that they are surrounded by evil, there's always danger, God said blah blah etc etc.
The people who are defending such businesses should put their energy into something productive that benefits all of society instead of this divisive crap that benefits no one in the long run.
Where does the business owners civil rights stop?
I'm not defending Christians by any means, I'm defending liberty.
If a gay couple owned a business, and they refused to serve bible thumpers, I would defend their right not to serve.

the shop owner has the exact same civil rights as the gays they are trying to deny service to. they may not be discriminated against due to their sexuality as well.
The minute the government forces a Christian owned business to transact with gays, the government impeded their 1st amendment right to freely exercise their religion and their freedom of speech.

nope.

freedom of religion does not mean freedom to impose your religious beliefs on others in the public sphere.

You don't know the constitution very well, do you.
Christian business owners do not force gay customers to conduct business with them, it is the other way around.
Gay couples have choices to go elsewhere.

Yes sir, some of them but there are more white business owners that would gladly serve blacks that turn them away.
Just like a black business owner should not be forced to do business with white people if that is what they choose.

It all comes down to who promotes totalitarianism and who does not.

So, essentially, it's illegal to treat someone differently due to disliking them... as long as whatever you dislike, is not within that person's capacity to change.

Therefore, everything that is a person's choice, is fair game?

If you choose something i dislike for any reason, i'm allowed to discriminate against you?

Why, it's a private business.
Maybe the gay couple should look for a gay business:idea:
Maybe they live in anchorage Alaska and the only shop is THAT one, the one with the homophobic couple that refuse to serve them.

Perfectly reasonable that they are forced to find service from another REMOTE RURAL location.

No, no it isn't.

If the couple feel that they need to force their religion on their public clientele they should switch to a private club, this allows all sorts of activity that would otherwise be illegal if the business operated otherwise.

It really is a great idea, I fail to understand why converting to a club doesn't satisfy your need.

so you want to deny service to people because they are gay or black, but it's the other side that's promoting totalitarianism?

makes perfect sense.

Why doesn't the gay couple join a club or shop online?
Come on, we all know why. The gay couple are trying to get publicity and force their agenda on everyone else, to deny this is a lie.\ and you know it.
