Workin like a sumbitch.

Your peers the jury? btw I like cops around too, long as they are assisting me not harassing and don't mind being recorded for quality control and training purposes, recognizing my right to be a journalist on a whim and respecting the freedom of the press.
Rob Roy has this position that we can exist without government and it is simply not the case. One of the basic needs of society is protection and security. Humans are animals. Even with coercion they sometimes do not act in the interest of the society. If society cannot protect itself it will be absorbed or eliminated by the next group to come by.

I am not an anarchist. I believe that any society has to have a structure to exist. When we founded this country we had a constitution that limited the power of government. The document has been perverted to become a massive centralized bureaucracy that the founders fought against. They knew this would happen, they wrote about it. They also said if we give up our freedoms then fuck us.. We havent been paying attention.

I would like to read Robs position of "without government" as I have always read what he wrote to mean "self government", which would be presence of government.

The only thing that ever limited the power of this government is a money supply in the hands of The People. I think it erroneous to suggest relinquishment of this supreme prerogative under the guise of protection or security has accomplished anything at all.

LOL whatcha got against single wides? They're good starter homes. Might sell some timber and build a steel barn house though. Kitchens gonna be huge.
Say, hows renting these days?
single wides are great if you don't mind your home depreciating in value every single year until it's worth nothing. most people prefer the biggest purchase of their life to pay them back over the years in built equity.

renting is OK, but won't last long. closing in 28 more days on a bi-level, 2300 sq ft on almost half an acre. i imagine in 10 years it'll be worth plenty more than we bought it for, unlike a single wide, which would be worthless after 10 years.

enjoy your investment!

My house is bigger :P

I understand you excitement about appreciation. It is probably the only money you will make legitimately in that decade...

That's not true at all, trailer houses can appreciate. I see 40 year old single wides going for $20,000 all the time.
If you do not maintain them, and then let a kitchen fire go unchecked, or your meth lab explodes, then yes, your trailer has no value.

Yeah, appreciate. In devalued Dollars, but hopefully not before serious real estate deflation happens like it did in '08. Would just hate to see bucky pay $170K for a house that becomes valued at $125,000.

What I find funny is that people treat their personal house like an asset when they are paying a mortgage on it. You get a 30 year mortgage and end up paying 2 1/2 times the original price of the house and at the end the house is worth 2 1/2 times what you paid and you somehow think you made money... and the government charges you for the capital gain LOL!!!

PRO-Tip.. If you buy a house and pay a 30 year mortgage it isnt an investment it is a forced savings plan with an uncertain outcome by the end.

Bucky talks about his wife keeping 100K in a checking account. Everything else he has said about wealth has been dead wrong. He has absolutely no experience with investing and wealth management. His experience was moving from mommy and daddy to marrying his 2nd mommy. I am betting she is the one who writes the checks in that household. I would pay more attention to Pinworm in the financial area.

my parents recently downgraded their home since they no longer need a house so big with my brother and i gone, their house appreciated over $140k in 16 years even with the housing crash. you should tell them how stupid they are for that.

of course, i don't think either of them are gonna listen to what a 50 year old alcoholic who scrubs pools has to say.

i have more land though.

not at all excited about appreciation, we are buying in a seller's market with houses going for over asking routinely. i expect the house to be worth about the same.

not really a problem in denver, we're a completely different market than say vegas or phoenix. there was never much artificial inflated home values here like there was in other parts of the nation, although the crash did bring home values down here like they did everywhere. they still haven't fully recovered either, although they are ahead of most of the rest of the nation comparatively speaking.

certainly not an ideal time to buy, but not the worst either.

and there are a million things you can do if you want out of a house that is underwater. a lot of my friends in AZ did strategic defaults and then just let their credit recover, which it did quickly.

Congrats on the home purchase, lots of land what was it 1/2 acre? Wait till you get double digit acreage and realize what timber is worth, you'll shit yourself. Also, a couple hundred extra Fed Res Credits per month "paid to principle" can get that loan paid down very quickly.

Its always a good time to buy if buying is cheaper than renting.

we looked at homes with up to 10 acres on them, more than we needed.

i imagine it's fairly easy to pay down the loan on a single wide even without that government cheese, which you claimed to get none of, ever.

Here's my point: Fuck all of yall, black and white and brown who feel you are entitled to what is mine. I don't owe anyone anything. Fuck my skin color and yours and the Presidents. I saved my money while most of you bought new stuff. I grow my food while most of yall go out to eat on credit. I put 30% down on my home while a lot of yall forced my tax money to guarantee loans to people of no account and speculators. I gross 30k and net 20k but don't qualify for ANYTHING. Screw all yall:p
