I accept your challenge! I'll put up the $ and work for the grow against your reputation.
if the lights with any available spectrum fails then you are right all along and the egg will be on my face.
If they do work then your rep is shitcanned since you are so positive of failure.

My $ vs your rep.

P.S. Work on your people skills, you have no couth.
Provolone is 100% right. Those are going to be some Finshaggy quality plants. Please for the love of god keep a journal.

And once you realize what a dumb ass you've been, go get an HPS.

Ignore the HID fanboys. It's a cool concept, and you aren't far off from something interesting.

Take a look at what Captainmorgan has done with CREE bulbs.

That said, pay careful attention to the bulbs he used and the color temps. You wanna go ~5000K during veg and ~2700K during flower. You'll probably need 6 of those strips to do anything decent. One for each corner of the room, and 2 up above.

He was my favorite character in that series. I loved his narcissism.

those philips lumileds are actually pretty good . if you add some more for side lighting you can grow 1 plant pretty good size.. at least a 10 gal.. those have higher cri than the cree globes.. ie more even spectral distribution. I do not know the par numbers. abiqua did pretty good with similar philips bulbs. You could do as well as captain morgans cree set up. the philips a19's have a faulty / sloppy soldering issue. they tend to fail after 9 months. with a 6 year warranty who really cares...

Don't worry you will be fine. The phillips @ 4-6" from the plants could put out PAR competing with a 400w-600w HPS.

Maybe they can take their pedestal to the other 30 or 40 grows completed or ongoing with these setups and tell them all off..lol.

A good lst and sog/scrog helps.

Good luck man.... don't mind all those tough on a computer keyboard haters putting in there two cents when they obviously know your not trying to get ridiculous numbers here with this project. I think you'll do fine with the mind set you have going into to this as a humble project. I'll be watching :)

Got a little stretch goin on.. I'd lower your lights a little.. Also, keep an eye on the readings with that PH pen.. I've had nothing but trouble with the cheapos. I'd get the drops to double check against it. Test the calibration frequently.
Good luck!

Tend to agree,I used to test water quality for a city and even the $2,000 pH we used, had to be calibrated after each use. At the very least, read up on how and what is used as the standard for calibration and do not trust a "calibration out of the box". If you have never calibrated it, I wouldn't trust it. imho.

I agree with frequent calibration. Did it three times to be sure. I think the stretch you see is courtesy of PO. They were just put under the lights before that pic was snapped. There is almost 60 watts beaming down on these girls and I didn't want to do a "Last Starfighter" on them.
