You're not understanding what I'm saying... The Tahoe was probably a hermie. Does that mean the cut will hermie? No. Does that mean it's off spring will be stable and hermie free? No.


Ive grown Cali con gear. I've got many, many shitty plants. The vast majority were. But I found a plant so dank it will shit on 99% of what people get from attitude and clones I've tried.

I've had yeti for a while. I have face off og so yes I know what dank is. I've grown white fire, tons of og crosses. Honest to god, my seed grown Cali con Tahoe pheno shits on them all. Maybe I got lucky?

honestly I think I have some type of problem. Since I grew this plant several years ago, I've been on a mission to find another. Driving hundreds of miles, meeting peeps, networking, buying thousands of dollars in seeds.

All i want is 2 or 3 and never pop a bean again. I've got face off, smells and tastes like og with lemon and over powering fuel. I've got sfv which is pinesol. I've got charity that is straight up pine tar.

popping bodhis golden triangle, larry lotus, and ggg aspirare. Looking for one more og to pick from. Then I hope to narrow it down to 2, grow these to perfection for the next couple years. I'm giving up the search and final thinking of settling down with the 2 nicest ladies.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm saying why buy seeds that you can get STABLE clones of?
I've never been swerved because he only tries to produce original clone only in seed form.

I have Golden Triangle growin' now myself + grow the TK cut also(my fav OG).
When I buy seed, I want something new + improved( also tested).

I think I got all the males this round(1/2pk.)
Maybe the other 6 will contain some females.
I've got a few packs of Satsuma, only got 1 pk. GTriangle

I was being serious about the Chicken food, and alittle sarcasm about you getting poop covered seed.(I know you don't want them)

Friends of mine will get 2x harvest this year, less than a month(~2wk) from harvest.

The tahoe is one I've never sourced. I wish.. tk also. In Michigan is getting better. Maybe one day. They both are at the the top of my list.

I've done the Original sour diesel and blue dream haze 1 of each. Osd was good as was the bdh. Osd was leafy and after a long cure smells like my workboots after working 12 hrs in the summer. Brb is absolutely encrusted with trichs turned purple and has a sour berry smell. I have another bdh fem that I'll probably run this summer... my only problems with them were weak stems... def needs support...again this was only 2 single fems but no real issues. outdoors

Given most breeders techniques these days, I'm pretty certain you have a chance to find the same in a lot of gear coming from American breeders especially (as most of them seem to just be into only elite cuts and sharing males and 1:1 hybrids).

Unstable polyhybrids. Inbreeding. 1x1 crosses. Bad recessives are destined to appear.

What you guys fail to understand is that the marijuana seeds don't correlate with the breeder. Sad fact for some of you guys, Swerve does have REAL TAHOE, REAL LOUIE, REAL SFV.

Him hitting a backcrossed sfv male to a legit tahoe clone would be the same thing as any of you, or myself for that matter...

Is there potential hermie issues? Absolutly, if you guys are familiar with og, it was most likely bag seed from most likely a hermie plant. Are you guys familiar with any of the new og crosses? They are most likely s1 seeds of an og.

Anyone want to take time to work out the hermie trait? When you get it done, please let me know. I will be the first one to buy some packs.

If you choose to mess with og, and your breeding og x og I guarantee, you too will get hermies. But I guarantee there will be fire somewhere in the mix with great potential.

Swerve as a person is a totally different story.

Pretty much this. Not that I personally want to support Cali Connection, I did buy a pack of Tahoe OG because I had no real OGs in my stable of beans and there have been great plants that come from them (regs).

Btw, it does sound like you got lucky. It could be a 1/10,000 plant. Could be 1/1,000,000 actually.

couple bad traits here and there is something you are going to see I understand that, but to just stop growing while completely healthy looking?! Only time I've seen this happen and to me this is on par with my run in with dp complete hermed out shit from them..I've run at least ten companies most multiple times without any issue aside from a runty plant here or a plant with formation I don't like there but to me there's a difference between expected short comings and complete failure, I can guarantee you don't see these things happen with many breeders, all comes down to who is in it for the money and who has the morals to chuck an entire line if it runs like either of those..but again gsc freebies in hand so ill give it another try..

The 8 inches thing is just a weird recessive. Have you ever had a seed sprout but then basically die? I have more than a few times now. Another version of a similar recessive.

I don't know exactly what his breeding practices are (although I know he isn't really sure what he's doing based on the number of backcrosses he does), but if he has the cuts and from all sources - he does. Well, then that's enough for me, I'll put up with weird and crap plants to find the winner in that line.

I'm no ardent defender or anything, I just think because a lot of people buy his gear and he's a total dick and because of the nature of his gear (which is NOT much different from others) you hear more bad reports. Quality control obviously is pretty low as I've seen people complain about lack of germination etc (although it's possible that's sometimes on the seed banks).

I gotta respectfully disagree with you kgp. ceeds DO have a correlation to the breeder. Based on breeder practices, quality control and test runs. I can tell you the swerve has loads of complaints against his gear and I have run other OG and not had any issues with herms. The guy is a liar, wasn't he claiming to have the real deal GSC and it turned out to be a lie? I am glad you have had success but I personally haven't run into anyone who can honestly say his gear is worth the time and effort. I don't use any cc freebees, I don't re-gift them, I wouldn't want to give my friends any herms and ruin their grow. I toss mine in the garbage if I have the misfortune of getting them.

I'm trying a breeder now that locals are raving about, some online folks too.

Testing males to see if they pass on desirable traits before releasing the offspring on the market should be standard practice.

Stable Elite clones are fine to use for breeding.
Only thing I don't like about TK is the flop, but I'll deal with it for the quality.
I am still on the search for something better.

CC, Og Raskal, Dr Greenthumb, Rare Dankness, none of these breeders are free from herm. Brand names strains get kept around, even with nanners. GL With the $ ive spent and meds ive gotten out, 1 good seed makes me forget about alot of bad ones. LOL
