OBAMA RATED 5th BEST PRESIDENT IN OUR HISTORY

From a total of 44 US Presidents: Obama is rated as the 5th best. The A&M's Public Relations Office released this statement "After only 5 years in office, Americans have rated President Obama the 5th best President ever."

These are the details according to Texas A&M:

1. Reagan & Lincoln tied for first,

2. Twenty three presidents tied for second,

3. Seventeen other presidents tied for third,

4. Jimmy Carter came in fourth, and

5. Obama came in fifth.

How is Reagan a best president, seeing as how he started us down the road to where we are now with that Reagan revolution thing. It is telling that this little joke manages to sort of ignore Nixon, the only president to resign in disgrace and he is somewhere above Carter? How convenient for the short memory, short sighted right to kinda let Nixon slip out of sight.

I agree with this.
And to think that this anointed genius has not even completed his last term in office.
What wonders of his dazzling brilliance await the awe-stricken faithful of the Hope and Change set?
This POTUS has resuscitated a clearly defunct and decrepit old white guy Republican Party back into viability and very probable political domination after the upcoming mid-terms.

Only Obama the Great could have pulled this off.

Hint for the math challenged…add up the numbers in the OP!!!

The irony of Obama’s accomplishments will be the stuff of legend for centuries to come.
Legendary doofus that is!!!

Wait, don't tell me you were certain, dead certain that Obama was going to be a one term president. You were certain that all of the polls during the last election were wrong - am I right?

And now you are predicting that Obama is raising Republicans back from a grave they themselves created, one shovel full of spouted nonesense after another.

Republicans have gotten even more faulty in their prognostications than they ordinarily are. But they just don't seem to have memories longer than 15 minutes. In fact, my memory is faulty as well, when WAS the last time Republicans have been proven to be right?

Hell, it is entirely possible that even their projections on Obamacare will be wrong.

Yikes, you think that the Dems will retain the senate...really?
That's not what I said. I just said the GOP as we know it won't take the executive office again until they make some major changes to their platform, it doesn't really matter what Obama does

By then, obamacare will be firmly entrenched in American Culture. If it was at all successful for a significant portion of the public then those votes will never go to Republicans. It is likely that Republicans will not have gotten the hint, as they have trouble with hints and will still braying repeal. If they are smart, they may be talking reform but I doubt it. If they are REALLY smart they will shut their mouths about Obamacare completely.

Of course if the thing actually fails. If people who are on it are discontent, if the bills from the plan start mounting in Washington then Republicans might even have a chance, hell, if they are very lucky they might win the Whitehouse. But I don't see anyone on the field that shows any more promise then the last few times. Stupid white men with a sense of entitlement.

We will see...

First the midterms and then the race for POTUS

Even many of the most devoted Obama followers have recently conceded that, barring some unforeseen development politically, that the house and senate will be Republican after the upcoming midterms.
What is a lame duck Obama gonna do to advance his misguided and rejected ideology?
2016 is going to be fascinating.

What is truly sad is that if Romney would have won, we would be just as fucked up as we are now.

The party system has to go.

It is dividing and destroying our nation.

Vote them ALL out.

I think it is a bit premature to rate Obama so highly. We need about twenty years for some perspective first. :-)

My contention is that Obama is making the 'Pubs lucky...but...
That is a thoughtful and compelling post...I cannot find much to disagree with specifically, although I know that we differ on our ideology, you consistently give me something to think about.
We will only know what transpires in the fullness of time.:joint:

Well thanks for the complement - as I consider having been able to give someone something to think about as a complement.

There is another possibility. Seems that Obamacare enrollment is making strides. I enrolled last week. Considering my total situation - and presuming (a lot to presume) that I understand exactly what the benefits entail, I will be saving about 7,000 a year, my deductible will be half what it was under my old plan, my drug costs will go from 1000 dollars a year to $340 a year. My preexisting conditions are ignored, I get free preventative care as well.

Now, should this really come to pass, and I may be reading it all wrong even though I spent several months over it, AND, should the same savings present itself next year, then I would be a complete idiot to vote for anyone who wants to take that away or tell me that I was ill served.

Here is what I DO know, early on, there was little competition in the exchange. The rates were too high, the deductibles were too high and the covered network was too small. Only a single insurer included my current doctor's group. Just before the deadline two others jumped on board, the prices and deductible went down and the process was streamlined.

HOWEVER. No plan includes my local hospitals or ER. I will have to travel almost 40 miles to the nearest ER and it is unlikely that my doctor will tend to me in the hospitals covered, which are that same 40 miles away. Considering my previous ER and hospital is only 10 miles away this is reason for concern.

I am also concerned at what the prices will look like next year.

There is plenty of time to shut their mouths and to look at reforms... later. Right now, Obamacare is the Democrats very own major failure and the Republicans can and should use it to flog the Democrats mercilessly. O'Care has never been popular with even 50% of the public, it was rammed down the throats of the public and down the throats of Republicans. So, I have to disagree with your advice.

Look at your own experience with O'Care, Canndo. It is not affordable. Some people will benefit from it, most people will suffer because of it. It is just another wealth transfer gimmick, i.e. it is straight out of the Democratic handbook.
