Need pipe designed specifically for hash

I've been smoking up hash (not oil, pressed hash) for awhile now and I've always used a torch lighter with those little glass bubble pipes that are more commonly used for meth. (though they work great for a lot of things)



The hash gives of smoke & vapor for longer than I can inhale, even when I'm really stingy with the torch, so I like the ability to cut off the air supply by blocking the carb & mouth to ensure minimal waste of my precious Afghan pancake. The problem with those stupid glass things pictured above is they break so damn easy, the slightest ding & bam you're out five bucks, some aren't well blown either so they crack just from the heat due to air bubbles & highly non-uniform thickness. That & most anyone who sees it will assumed I am a meth head.

Long story short I am looking for something just as efficient but more durable so figured I'd ask here what people think is the most efficient type of pipe for smoking pressed hash in?

I have a little metal pipe and bowl. The bowl has a screw on top that has a very small hole in the top, you can actually screw the top on the bowl and light the material through the small hole in the top screw on piece. I just unscrew the small top cover piece and keep it handy, then light the bowl and after inhaling I sit the small top on the bowl, you don't need to screw it back on, and put my finger over the very small hole. The bowl goes out until you light it again. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

Some pics. The bottom of the pipe unscrews for storage, it makes for a good portable. I only use this pipe for kief.

plastic bottle about 2"-3" in dia. and 6" tall. poke pin through the top of cover then make a small hole about 1" from cover (air intake) and another hole on the bottom corner of bottle (exhaust/mouthpiece). flip bottle over remove cover and place hash on pin, light hash and let it get burning then blow out return cover and enjoy. best with friends

And man that brings back memories, first time smokeing some crappy bubble hash in Fairbanks in 2001 was out of one of them meth pipes, I still remember the taste.

There are still a couple Mohicans out there. I must admit, so far for a little hand pipe, I would still use my favorite little pipe. It is great for fishing or what not too. If you have medication you need to take, like a pain pill or aspirin for instance, you can fit some pills in the storage spot, or some extra buds. No smoke goes though the storage chamber.

I can't help it, but I like pipes where I can close the top off, like the proto pipe and the metro pipe. The metro pipe is not as elegant, but it is super heavy duty and more stealth. It does not even look like a pipe, but more like a paper weight.

I haven't used it in a while though since I quit smoking buds.



Here we have my other favorite. Oddly, the wood dug out was made by an Indian who says he is the last of the Mohicans. The wood used came from my property, black cherry and black walnut. The pipe directly to the right of the dug out is a Monkey Pipe. Similar to the metro pipe, but smaller and made of wood. Now the pipe below the monkey pipe is real special. No metal, no plastic, no glass can make up for that pipe or the dug out. That pipe was also hand carved by the same Indian. What makes this pipe extra special is the type of wood that was used, which also came from my property. (I have owned a few different partials of property). That one is made from Witch Hazel. One of the most difficult wood to work with. If you can manage to make something with it, it should last a long time because it is a strong wood. Witch Hazel is known to have mystical properties, such as it is said that Witch Hazel is the best stick to use for water dowsing.


Now here you can see how old school I am. Pictured below along with the world's best hemostats is one of Mel Frank's oldest grow books. Now the world's best hemostats, or a MacGyver tool of the trade. The Gerber multi plier small 400 or the larger 600, with built in scissors, the best, fiskars. What makes these pliers better than all others is that I can use the lock release and apply a small hair band to keep it closed. Not sure if this Gerber plier is still available, I have had them for a long time now. I kind of miss using my old school stuff. Now it is strictly e-cannabis, concentrates only.

I haven't used mine too much, but cannot say that I have had a problem with it. A lot depends upon your concentrate. When I originally got mine, all I had was RSO and it was a bit difficult to use, but good. Now that I have made QWISO hash and tried it, very impressive. Easy to use. Less waste too. Pretty much can use it all up because I can apply more heat with the QWISO than I can with the RSO.
