'Woke up this morning and my tent was reeking with that smell. Oh no, I gotta get this fixed before wifey reads me the riot act. Dashed down to Home Depot to pick up some bungee cords and 4" duct and tape to set up my fan and charcoal filter:

Ladies are growing rapidly now:

Roots filling out and spikey:

Setting up a new 40 site cloner/vegging mini-tent 30" x 18 x 36." Should I mother 3 plants or let them go to seed? Do I save about 4 weeks using clones over seeds?

Growing like a weed, close to time to flower? I want to see if I can get some roots going in my clones so I can transfer them over with the big plants and flower them together. Clone again before flowering so I can get a perpetual cycle going so I don't have to buy seeds.

My clones Day 2 -

Noobs always hasty and hardheaded... reading this was irritating.. just wanted to see someone growing with advanced also. Stop reading BS.
Well, this is my first grow so it's a learning experience. If you have nothing helpful to contribute, why criticize?

Keep cloning, growing and reading until you have happy plants. If your having a problem vegging I will bet you'll have a problem flowering and flowering is less forgiving. For example your biggest problem appears to be heat which will be a bigger problem attempting to flower.

You got some defs, add some phos and potassium, kelp and whatever bloom nutes you are using. Try adding fresh coconut water too. Run that by itself. Its full of enzymes and its cheap. It will make the roots explode with growth. 1/4 cup per 5 gal.

I'm using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow A & B. I haven't flipped it yet to blooming. Should I add some Dyna-Gro Bloom to the reservoir now for the defs. Coconut water at the supermarket? Thanks, hyroot.

I'd say maybe do a mix of grow and bloom 1:1 ratio. Some more n would help too.

Just a quick Hi, Great to follow your grow, on my first grow at the mo, trying a tub aero system, if no one talks me out of it, or it fails, which ever is first.

Not finished the tubes yet, so copying your system to baby sit seedlings in the Xtream Prop, until the net pots are in, confused though, do i put air stones in or not? it is running sprayers 24/7 so there will be some aeration from that I guess?

I am not using air stones because I am thinking that my sprayers are providing oxygenation. I am cycling 1 - 45 seconds on, 5 - 45 seconds off. From what I have read, you do not need to run your sprayers 24/7. Each grow environment is different so you have to adjust your cycles to what seems to work for yours. Roots need oxygen to breathe so cycling an off time allows them to breathe.

Setting up my scrog and looking to flip in a week or two when the scrog gets 70% filled. That's a tomato and squash plants in the lower right.

Dude i wasn't trying to criticise its just funny u have guys like dave chiming in telling u exactly what to do and ur still takinf clones and shit from ur sick plants smh... wers on the internet with heaps of knowledge and ur sitting hers posting multiple pics and redundant post. asking questions instead of looking at SUCCESSFUL grows similar to urs. that's why its irritating so get ur head out these forums and learn something stop going off ur noob ass intuition because u think its right its clearly not.

jbizness, do you have links to SUCCESSFUL grows similar to my see more buds approach as there are a gazillion grows on rolllitup? Dave has been very helpful and I am thankful for his input. Dave has a different system. Again if you have something to contribute then PLEASE contribute but your know-it-all I'm not criticizing but you're an idiot approach isn't really helpful. Any questions you can answer and be helpful with is appreciated. For instance, why are there deficiencies when using Advanced Nurtrients Sensi Grow A + B? Yes, early on I used too much nutes and had some pH swings and maybe a heat issue but the recent growth was green so I decided to take clones. The plants are growing fast and I want to see if I could root some clones to flower with the original plants. If this is not feasible then tell me why. Yes, I know i am a noob and I know I need the helpful input from more experienced growers. This is all a learning experience so even if I fail, I will learn from subsequent grows. That's what is called learning from doing. So again if you have helpful input I would like to hear it. If you can't keep yourself from admonishing newbies then why are you on this thread?

1.) the deficiencies are not from the Medicine, but the Dosage. Starting with such high EC/TDS literally locks everything (including H20) out, which give you your colors

2.) I dont remember you ever mentioning high temps that would cause that much leaf curl? I have to hit 85 before curl. Again, I think your plant was dehydrated and started pulling moisture from the leaves instead of the nutes... because of the Salt Buildup on the surface of the roots.

3.) No AN nute experience here, BUT, these are NOT environment specific issues, this is feeding.

4.) AIR, you do not have to get rid of your misters, the lower micron size allows for better availability-- BUT this does not necessarily mean your Dissolved Oxygen levels are up to speed . They are not hard to keep, (tops out at 10?) but you will need airstones for ANY amount of standing water that your roots are going to be in. The constant agitation helps keep sediment from settling/buildups of all kinds/AERATES/ and promotes new growth.

5.) What are your current ppm's because you have green veins/yellow leaves and the margins are still burning (yellow around the "rim") I am mainly looking at the FRONT RIGHT, BACK MIDDLE, and BACK LEFT

Ha. I could be completely ignorant and wrong, but read into what I am talking about, and grow upon that and 'broaden your Spectrum,' bub. Good luck

My current nutes level is 650 ppm with a pH of 5.9. My temps were 75-78 sometimes drifting to 80 and my reservoir temp is 65 degrees. I use the frozen bottle water when it drifts up to bring it down. Yesterday I raised the LEDs 3 inches so it is now 30" above the base of the plants. I added the SCROG at 9 1/2" high as ellydee warned that the plants would get too tall from seeds in the veg stage for my 5' high tent. Hopefully the SCROG will keep it manageable. My tub reservoir is only 4 1/2-5" high and my cover is 14 1/2" from the base of the tub so I have a good 10" of exposed root that the sprayers will oxygenate the roots. I think you're right about the high nute lockout in the early veg phase sucking up moisture from the leaves. But I'm still getting some yellow edging as you noted so added some Dyna Grow Bloom to broaden the nutes to address any deficiency that I am not aware of. Yes, both switches are on for full spectrum as they have been for awhile. Thanks for your input, Scotch.

Do not add any more nutes man! lol You need to flush, the nutes are there- but imagine there is a film over the surface of the roots that can only be removed by having a LOWER nutrient level INSIDE the roots than what is OUTSIDE in the solution.

The direction in which the nutrients are going is OUT, its expelling all the excess, with a higher PPM the plants cannot expel all the garbage it doesnt need.

YOU NEED TO GO WITH STRAIGHT WATER for at least 4 days, (talking less than 200ppm water)

This chart shows the relationship between all the nutrients together.

resourcesmulders-chart.jpg

Too much of anything, is a bad thing.

Weather is be Work, alcohol, a hobby, or nutes....

Moderation is key.

Ok, I've diluted my nutes with tap water (195 ppm) to 420 ppm. I will see how the new plant growth looks for a few days.
