hey yall i went out today and started to buy some of my supplies ....

i have a question about actually running the pump

is there anyone who has an easy way to connect all the pipes to the pump that is pretty self explanatory .... im still pretty confused but im just trying to get this set up ...

please any replies with some guidence here would be appreciated ...

you just have to push it on there, i geuss you could get it wet then try or use something to grease it up

no i mean im confused on how to set it up inside the tank ... like what do i need supplie wise i dont think i got everything i needed to set it up

you need
net pots
growing medium (clay pellets ect)
pump
tubes
airstones
and the tank or whatever you are putting it all in

the pump goes on the outside of the tank and the tubes go into the tank (i drilled little holes right above water level) and the airsones go on the end of the tube. then you fill up the tank ( 1 inch above net pots fot seedlings 1 inch below for maturing plants). put in your nutes and set up the net pots with the pellets or w/e and your all set. if you want to see my bubbleponic system go to "first grow hydro sweet tooth"

what exactly are the airstones?

also.. so i just get the size tubing that will fit the airpump and then run them to the plants ? how exactly do you run the tubes to the plants ? isnt a special piece needed?

oooo i get it now,,, youre doing a drip setup not a bubbler. you bought a water pump not an air pump huh? or am i lost again?? lol

ahhhh! im so confused lol ... no i bought a water pump ... let me try to get a picture of all my supplies and put it on here ... but i juss want to do a simple set up ..

ok dripper and ebb and flow systems uses a water pump. DWC/bubblers dont. all you need to an air pump, air lines, air stones, a tub , rockwool or something to put inside the net pots and some netpots. the roots in a bubbler just hang out of the pots down into the water/nutes. the air pump pumps the air into the air stones and it comes out in lil bitty bubbles. that keeps the roots from drownding. everything you can get from walmart but the pots and rockwool.

also where to i find the t joints

all at walmart, the t's and all should be right by each other. and the bigger the air pump the better
