Tomorrow will be my first official attempt at cloning , a few months ago i purchased a light and the lady gave me a bottle of hormex.. i have never heard of this it doesnt even have the label on the front of the bottle.. but it says...
indoor plants thrive , root cuttings , keeps cut flowers fresher...
i know it has B-1..
I did a lot of reading on this but can only find info on transplanting with hormex .
My question is Can i use hormex(liquid) to root my cuttings? or should i go get some of the powdered root hormone?

Also tonight i was gonna place my lady in 24-30 hours of darkness, so saturday morning i can start flowering.....

Should i take my cuttings tonight before the dark period .....or should i let them stretch a little during the dark period then take my cuttings...

i dont know much about cloning, but its best to dip it, but no saturate it. Rockwool works best.

I got comp'ed a bottle of vita grow. when I bought my lamp. I asked for dip-n-grow and the guy said you gotta try this stuff. I love it.

now back to our regularly scheduled program.....

If its a liquid, does it have any directions? Dip-n-grow needs to be diluted, the vita grow does not.

As to waste as little as possible, I plugged the tip of an eye dropper with wax and pulled off the squeezy part. Now I have a little test tube to hold the hormone. I dip them in for about 5-7 seconds then into rockwool rapid rooter plugs or an areogarden. (thats what I use) When done with that cloning session, i dump the test tube and wash it out.

If its a gel, dip and put into medium. You shouldn't dip into the main container of any hormone, take a little out and use that. Throw out what wasn't used up.

You should take cutting while in veg.

Rooting hormones are not needed to root cuttings, just makes it happen quicker and better survival rate.

why? dont need to use rockwool, you can always just use soil, or even the soil jiffy pellets.

thanx again guys i already made my cuts and planted in some rockwool ... the first day they didnt look too good but today there better and they seem to be standing straight up towards the light... !! but i cheated i went out and bought some root hormone... i was afraid to lose my only female widow...
