check out the grow video referenced in the newbie section as a sticky. they use some kind of heat reflecting sheets on the walls and ceiling that contains the heat.

nope - mylar is for reflecting light and is the last layer on the walls. the heat reflecting film was put on before the mylar. check out the video

Certain types of mylar will reflect heat more than others, emergency blankets are meant for heat, but they're pretty thin, Anybody know how effective that aluminum corrugated wrap for water tanks etc is?

If you insulate and have a space buffer between the top of the insulation and the roof of the house you should be ok
