for $300 i would look elsewhere. why not just get an hps for less? they didnt even give any brands or say what the wattage of the bulbs were.

lots of people use those kind of lights, heard they work real well for mothers, clones, and vegging but not ideal for flowering. I use 400 watters one mh and one hps.

what's up with the higher K? is it a good thing to have higher k or bad thing? and that fixture comes with veg and flowering lights (6 of each kind)

yeah it comes with both but your not going to get nearly as good flowering results with that as you would with an hps. hps has much more lumen output than those bulbs do.

yea I'm still new and that's why I want to stick with CFL type of lights but I do want to start using Solar panels later on to help cut the cost of the lights

they look nice... but thats about it. Very pricey. In the uk T5HO's (T-5 high outputs) are only used for seedlings for the first two weeks and rooting cuts thats all theyre good for, isnt it made for aquariums, surely putting a supposedly "monster high output" grow light over yr fish tank would cause monstrous algae and bacteria growth? And the claim that its more powerful than 2 400 halides? Cough cough ahem... Bullshit!!

if you use a 250 MH your light emitted would still be around 6500K in the color spectrum but you get light 23000 lumens with tube lights you only get 5000 lumens per bulb and they don't stack up 6 5000 lumen bulbs is not the same as one bulb that puts off 30000.

questions about blasts now , do I have to get a blast that matches the bulb's wattage or can I get a blast that has a higher wattage and use a bulb that requires less wattage?

the ballast's wattage should match the bulb, the only exception I know is you can run a special 430 watt bulb in a 400 watt ballast.
