experience...
a little side note. if anyone knows how to build or even knows how a generator work that would be great:mrgreen:(cheaper to build your own i think:hump:)

i corious to know as well. ive been doing research on co2 system. i think a tank would be cheaper. you can get a 20lb tank for like 40 bucks.

Then you've still gotta figure out how much you'll be using, and how long a tank is gonna last. A 20lb tank might be $40, but your gonna need to refill it once or maybe twice each grow.

Generators are crazy expensive though.

But there's no reason why a tank setup would work less efficient than a generator, provided you have a proper timer and controller. Which are not cheap either.

Generators are expensive but last a long time. I think they burn propane or something like that. Some people say that they cause heat issues when they use a generator. I use tanks, but that is probably gonna get tedious filling all the time. my 2 cents

I'd feel better with a bottle. I know its *just* CO2 in it (well mostly a little water, a little O2, etc. pure CO2 like 5.0 is just crazy expensive)

With a burner, I'd bet there are other by products.

I use a 50lb tank. It's rented from a local welding supply store. The rental charge is $60 a year & $17 to fill it up.

does anyone have alink for a good regulator? (is there a regulator out on the market that keeps things at 1500ppm??and turns off at night??)

I replied to the thread that is in advanced technique, I think it'll help.

I forgot about the core charge on the tank, it's usually a hundred bucks and 20 to refill, you can trade it in anywhere with most places.

A simple controller with a timer on it will turn it off at night.

If you have the money get a fuzzy logic controller.
