i never trim or prune any of my outdoor plants. i just let them do their thing and their leaves were beautiful and perfectly healthy. a friend came over all excited to trim the fan leaves and redirect the plant energy, and for some reason i did it and immediately regretted it deeply. what will happen? will they grow back? im so sorry i really regret it. bummed. is their anyone who ever made this same stupid mistake? can i still have a haarvest at all. i determined they were all girls andblahthats all.

it will be okay...i have done that before and I think it helped the particular plant I did it to.

well im sure you shocked the hell outta them, but there should be no reason to want to redirect plant energy since theyre outdoor they grow larger anyway and very very well. I would use this as a learning experience, as I chopped the main stalks of my outdoor down almost a foot because they were getting too tall for my yard, they have re-topped themselves and are doing fine after 2 weeks.

well, thanks for sayin it could be okay.... i dont see how they will recover.... without fan leaves they are like skinny stalks with the little baby flowers all exposed now...... will it grow new fan leaves or what then? probably so shocked she wont do much 4 a while.

Oh I can tell you 100% that it will be stunted... But I will bet you money that it will bounce back.
They are survivors, the term "weed" had to come from somewhere... and if its not because of that, they sure grow like weeds...

If they were meant to do better without all their leaves they would shed them all themselves I figure.

You should go pull all the shingles off your friend's roof on the presumption that it will help keep the water out better.

so i made the same mitake on my first grow. i was super blazed, and trimmed a couple dying leaves, then just didnt stop! still got a harvest but it really slowed down the growth of the buds and in the end i ended up with about 3/4 to and oz after drying. it was indoor w a 400 w hortilux bulb. i just finished smoking that kind, and although it might have stunted growth, the bud wsa still fucking amazing. one hitter quitter and it was just bagseed/ sp take what you can from that

thanks all. thanks for the pics too. nice. still you show way more fan leaf than i have, hopefully extra love will help the girls recover. and yes this will be a learning experience.. i will let yall know how it goes either way.

I did the same thing on my first grow.
It did bounce back and I did get a decent yield. I just always wondered if my yield would have been doubled if I didn't do it...I am sure it would of.
These are outdoor plants, depending on where you are you should have another 2 months or so before harvest. They should bounce back enough to make you happy.
Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.
