    Default germinating seed acting funny

    i started germinating one seed just as a test run exactly 48 hours ago. As of 24 hours ago the taproot was starting to come out and as of 30 hours ago the seed was cracking on the sides and you could see the shell spliting. I have my seed in a moist paper towel, inside a baggie, inside a towel, on a heat pad on low. As of the 30 hour mark it felt too hot so i wrapped more towel around it. As of 48 hours (now) i checked it, and the root started to go back in!!! you can still see the white taproot coming out, but the sides of the seed itself have closed back up! whats the deal?!?!?

    Once the tap root starts coming out you need to get it in soil. Right now

    ^^listen to that guy even if he is new around the block, he is right, tap root shows of to the medium immediately. or better even to plant the seed un-germed in the medium of choice, less messing with the seed
    keep the thumb green and the gun oiled, !

    the root isnt fully out and extended its sticking out mabye 1/4" and still curled up.

    i think you scared it and it's trying to hide. plant it. it will feel safer there.

    If you can see the tap root it needs to be in soil.
