Has anyone ever used old food jars like: spaghetti sauce, salsa, or any other glass jar used for food to cure your buds in?

I havent tried it yet but I have been collecting jars and have cleaned them really well. Sometimes they still smell like what was in there and I was wondering if the buds would taste or smell like the food that was in the jars after they have cured.

If anyone has done this can you let me know how it worked?

got some empty mason jars from walmart or dollar store

Iam going to use this Sour Krout jar looks like it will work well holds water iam sure you can use almost anything. jeff

ive used pikle jars and chocolate spread jars and they each leave a taste or taint to the weed. The chocolate was nice but branston pikle flavord weed aint to my tatse. I use coffe jars now days mainly dow egberts jars thgey are the stopper type and perfict if u cant get cheap jars from the cheap shop lol

Any odorless jar is fine for curing/storing. If you go with Mason jars, you can find killer deals @ second hand stores, yard sales . . . you know, think "older" folks. GramMa's cellar/attic?
Ex-vegans, etc.
For those of too young to recall, Mason jars are remnants of the first 70? years of the 20th century, when everyone grew a garden. These jars are used for the canning of all kinds of foods and can stand the super-high temps of pressure cookers. Green beans haven't always come in an actual can. Mrs.F. still cans up the garden excesses. I can barely enjoy store bought canned veggies these years. No flavor.

also, you can try to neutralize the smell of the pickle's, etc... with rubbing alcohol or a soap soak. vinegar may work too.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'm just gonna shell out some cash for some mason jars. I dont want my weed tastin like spaghetti sauce or salsa.
