I read that seeds are bi-sexual and that everything from A to Z decides what they turn out to be, so I read that when the plants are just babbies if a person loads there grow space up with carbon minoxide and lets the plants baste in this for several hours that somehow it kills the male gean in the plant. and a word of major caution if you deside to try this is that carbon minoxide WILL KILL YOU if you breathe to much of it
I do not know if this works or not and like you I'm doing the best I can with what I have and can afford plus I have a small building seperate from my small house that I use to grow in what I hope to be great big bdded plants...so what I did was fire up my leaf blower and let in run on full for a hour and when I opened the door you could not see your hand in front of your face from the smoke, so I just shut the door and came back 24 hours later and all the smoke was gone.
Now I agree this sounds way out there and I agree 2 cycle oil in the gas and all and a 4 cycle lawnmower would have put less oil in the air and prob done as good a job,(that will be my improved next batch,,but the bottom line is that out of 18 starts I only had 3 males....
So even tho it's winter where I'm at anyways you need to think out side the box and go get a big butt wipe card board box and hook it up to your lawn mower , car, your hog and go gass them little suckers till they can't grow no balls Ha! haha thanks steady, I appreciate the advice. I also heard that the environment they are in really effects the sex of the plant; I'll have to get female favorable conditions next time around.

well, since this thread has already been necromanced, maybe it can be used to get some more eyeballs on an interesting topic. Steadyeddie has one hypothesis about plant sex. I have been following this thread Dutchmasters Reverse,a study of hermie's. and thought it was interesting that panhead got 100% females. I think this Reverse stuff needs a closer look.

Bad luck seriously, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
If you can seperate the males from the female well then they are well worth keeping.
Despite what people say you can smoke (and it does get you high) male flowers.
Its obviously never going to be as good as bud but if you get a handful of male flowers and mix them into a shisha bowl with the tobacco i gaurente you will get high.
Bear in mind that they are only worth keeping if you can keep them away from the female. The advantage of males is there is so much too them, they produce allot of flowers and if you have 5 of them then thats allot of THC.

So here is what i recomend, take the males away from the female (they dont have to be in a great condition) wait untill you can see heaps of little flowers. Break the whole plant down stem and all, take the flowers (lots of them) mix them with a bowl of shisha tobacco and your set.

The bottom line is, there males, who cares if they die.

Anyway give it a shot....or don't, whatever.

Please dont down rep me because u heard that males dont have THC, cause this worked for me.

Thanks everyone. This grow was a long time ago, and it turned out that 1/5 were female and 4/5 were male.... > But hey, thats how it goes. Due to ristrictions I couldn't clone her, but I did pollinate the shit out of her to get seeds for when I'm ready to grow again. She turned out 32 usable seeds for me that are fresh and ready for life! I'm almost done with my new setup which will be perpetual.

i had the same thing happen to me on my current grow so i took a bunch of cuttings from my lone female and filled the space, it took a little longer but its working out good
