Just a quick question....

Would I be right in thinking the average grow operation will have a gram per watt ratio of about 0.8.

Also how possible is it to get a ratio of 1.2+???

(All of this neglects the whole factor of nutrients, temperature and ph levels)

So for example If I had 1600watts of light what would be the optimum level I should be aiming for in grams per watt?

if you get 0.5 per watt all is well, any more and you are doing v.well. Experienced growers get 0.75 - 1g per watt sometimes but not always. Imo anyhow. Also depends what the watts are hps cfl etc.etc

1 gram per Watt is the avg. If you have a 1000 Watt hps, you should get 1000 DRIED grams of fruit. The most I ever "heard" about was 1.44 grams per Watt and that was with hydro clones (about 20 inches tall). People that do soil bushes, they can get far more than the gram per watt. A gram per watt is a little above par!

Grow number two here with 400 watt Halide all the way through..... .5 per watt is what my wet weight was

dude, its possible to get more than 2 grams per watt! its called going vertical!!

3# + per 1kw is a goal for most. vertical can really blow the boundaries.
